GENERAL:
As C. Beets was indisposed due to injury he was replaced as per steward’s riders summary.

Due to G. Geran, being the rider of IMANI in Race 1, on today’s program being unable to arrive on course due to transportation difficulties, Race 1 was rescheduled to start at 12.40pm and Race 2 was rescheduled to start at 1.20pm.

Race 1: DALE & MEYERS QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1000M
1st - ALL ROYAL 2nd – EASY HARMONY 3rd – SHOW YOUR COLOURS 4th – RAINBOW RIDGE

IMARI (G. Geran) was slow to begin.

SHOW YOUR COLOURS (W. Morris) shifted wider rounding the home turn to improve.

ALL ROYAL (R. Hall) raced wide in the early stages of the event.



Race 2: DINGO HOTEL CLASS 3 H’CAP – 1000M
1st – STOUTFAST 2nd – CYCLONE GEORGE 3rd – FANLITE 4th - INFRINGEMENT

INNOCENT ENCOUNTER (J. Stephens) was slow to begin.

INFRINGEMENT (S. Quick) began awkwardly and was obliged to race wide for the majority of the race.

ROYAL ATTITUDE (R. Hall) had a tendency to lay out shortly after the start.

Race 3: SUNCORP CLASS 5 H’CAP – 1200M
1st – HATANGI 2nd – HANDY HERO 3rd – GORDON’S TIME 4th – ANDY’S SHADOW

ANDY’S SHADOW (S. Evans) was slow to begin.

MR KELLY (G. Geran) began awkwardly.

GORDON’S TIME (App K. Pedron) raced wide in the early stages of the race.

When questioned into the reason HANDY HERO raced wide for the majority of the event apprentice L. Dillon stated that in his opinion the horse was not racing truly with the dirt coming back in its face and it was his decision to shift the horse wider where the horse was more comfortable. Stewards noted his explanation.

Race 4: S.T. OLIVE & SONS CUP OPEN H’CAP – 1400M
1st – JYI’S PROSPECT 2nd – GUDUNOV 3rd – COSSANTE 4th – HIGHEST POWER

HIGHEST POWER (App L. Dillon) was slow into stride and was unable to muster any early speed.

JYI’S PROSPECT (App K. Mizobe) raced wide for the majority of the race.

W. Morris, the rider of TENZERO reported that the near side barrier gate failed to catch and rebounded striking his right forearm which resulted in no noticeable injury. This brought to the attention of the starter Mr Finger to repair.

Race 5: CENTRAL STATE FUELS CLASS B H’CAP – 1400M
1st - 2nd - 3rd - 4th -

INNOCENT ENCOUNTER which competed in Race 2 on today’s program was examined by the club’s veterinary surgeon prior the running of this event and was cleared to start.

DRAKE’S PASSAGE (App K. Pedron) which dislodged its rider during in its preliminary and escaped off the racecourse grounds was declared a late scratching at 3.52pm. On the announcement of correct weight all monies invested on DRAKE’S PASSAGE were ordered to be refunded with deductions of 9 cents in the dollar on the face value of all win bets and 10 cents in the dollar on the face value of all place bets to be applicable. K. Pedron appeared to have escaped any injury. DRAKE’S PASSAGE after being recaptured and returned to the course was examined by the veterinary surgeon who reported no injuries other than signs of slight foot soreness.

KAZOOKA (R. Hall) was slow to begin.

YOU ARE MY LADY (App K. Mizobe) began awkwardly and lost ground.

COME ON CRAIG (G. Geran) and NOBLE COLOURS (W. Morris) both raced wide for the majority of the race.
