On jumping away, RIVIERA TREASURE and FRANGIPANI made contact.

RACE 3: AMBASSADOR TRAVEL H'CAP - 1350M.
Upon request of trainer, Mr P. Sexton, HASS LINC was examined by the club's veterinary surgeon and passed fit to start.
When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of CAMINO REAL, S. Galloway stated that the gelding was under pressure from the 800m. and in his opinion may have failed to back up from its previous start on 28 August. A veterinary examination of CAMINO REAL failed to reveal any abnormality.
RACE 4: HOLDEN H'CAP - 1110M.
Stable representative S. Clark was advised that MISTER CHIPS would be required to trial satisfactorily prior to its next start after that gelding bucked shortly after the start, dislodging jockey M. Bennett.
Making the first turn, BILL THE BOATMAN, when being restrained off the heels of EUROMBAH, shifted out and made contact with OUR COGNAC.
Approaching the 800m., HADRIAN hung out across the heels of FOOTWEAR and then continued to hang out for the remainder of the event. HADRIAN will be required to undergo a series of barrier trials before starting again.
BILL THE BOATMAN, which was found be bleeding from both nostrils upon return to the enclosure, will be barred from racing for the mandatory period of 3 months. A swab sample was taken from BILL THE BOATMAN.

When presented to the enclosure, it was established that NAUDERS did not have a lead bag which had been included in the weigh out. Subsequently, Trainer D.B. Bougoure pleaded guilty to a charge under AR 140A, in that he failed to include the lead bag when saddling NAUDERS and was fined $300.
FRISKY STAR and DIRECTOR'S SPECIAL were slow to begin.
Approaching the 800m., NED'S REVENGE shifted out, taking LUNCHTIME LEGEND out across the heels of ATOCHA. In this incident LUNCHTIME LEGEND blundered.
After leaving the 800m., FRISKY STAR commenced to race ungenerously, and passing the 600m. shifted out, forcing NAUDERS wider on the track.
Apprentice Z. Purton was questioned as to why he did not ride NAUDERS out to the finish line. He stated that he had been forced wide making the home turn, and he placed the gelding under pressure, however near the 150m. he was of the opinion there may have been something amiss with NAUDERS and as a result he stopped riding at approximately the 100m.. Whilst stewards noted the explanation, Z. Purton was advised that at all times he must ride his mounts right out to the finish line to the best of his ability, however if he is of the opinion something is amiss with his mount, he must report that immediately to the stewards in order that the horse may be examined by the club's veterinary surgeon.
RACE 7: CLEANEVENT H'CAP - 1200M.
CENTURY'S GIFT jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
MERV'S WISH began awkwardly and made contact with the starting gate, and was further hampered shortly after the start by GRACEWICK, which shifted in.
