GENERAL - RACE 6
A complaint was lodged by Mr D. Steinback, part-owner of SONIC PEAK, relating to J. Byrne dismounting from SHIVIRGO in the saddling enclosure when a discrepancy was found in the horse's gear. It was established that whilst SHIVIRGO was presented with a tongue-tie, J. Byrne dismounted from his horse as he was concerned that SHIVIRGO may become fractious when removing the tongue-tie. It was established through the course of the inquiry that J. Byrne dismounted for some time due to the records being checked to establish the horse's correct racing gear. Mr Steinback's comments and concerns in relation to this matter were noted.
