SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:
From Race 4 - GCTC meeting, 13.4.07
Stewards today concluded an inquiry into S. Bogenhuber’s riding of GREAT PORTENT at the above race meeting, in particular rounding the home turn where the horse shifted ground outwards making contact with COOLY ROAD (K. Forrester) on several occasions. After hearing evidence today from apprentice S. Bogenhuber and her master Mr R. Dart, stewards accepted that whilst the horse was inclined to lay out, she should take greater measures to prevent her mounts shifting ground, in particular when rounding the home turn. Stewards also noted that following the race, apprentice Bogenhuber had spent valuable time at Apprentice School receiving race tutoring regarding this matter by race training official Alan Russell.
From Race 4 – BTC meeting, 14.4.07
Following the seemingly disappointing performance of MANIC MONDAY at the above race meeting, connections advised that the horse had pulled up sore in the near hind leg and felt that this may have had some affect on the disappointing performance.
Apprentice M. McDonald was stood down from race riding for his failure to attend apprentice school as required by Local Rule 55(9) on Monday, 16 April 2007. Apprentice McDonald was advised that the stand-down period would be reviewed upon his attendance at Apprentice School on Monday, 23 April.
