Race 1: QRSE Camarena 2yo C & G H'cap.
1st - School Lane 2nd - Rumbird 3rd - Bold Red 4th - Racetrack

BOLD RED (K. Pope) jumped away awkwardly.

When the pace slowed near the 1000m., MARDI MAGRAR (J. Taylor) commenced to overrace and the horse continued to overrace until approaching the home turn. Whilst overacing, the horse had to be restrained on several occasions off the heels of SCHOOL LANE (G. Colless).

DIAMONDSONDINSIDE (D. Browne) got its head up when being restrained to take a trail approaching the first turn.

Race 2: Tenor 3yo & Up Maiden H'cap - 1400m.
1st - Frottage 2nd - Mr Clang/It Ain't Half Hot 4th - Coronation star

As apprentice B. Poulus was unable to claim down to his riding weight, stewards permitted him to claim 2 kilograms. B. Poulus was reminded of his obligation to ensure he claimed down to his designated riding weight of 52 kilograms.

BRANCH (S. Galloway) jumped away awkwardly.

Shortly after jumping away, IT AIN'T HALF HOT (J. Taylor) was cramped for room between I'M FRENCH (M. Cahill) and HOT GOSPEL (J. Powell) when both horses shifted ground slightly.

Near the 1300m., I'M FRENCH became unbalanced when it brushed the hind quarters of CORONATON STAR (M. Pelling) as a result of racing in restricted room between HOT GOSPEL (J. Powell) and CORONATION STAR, which was taken out by NOTHIN' LEICA CUZA (G. Colless).

BLONDE MOMENT (B. Poulus) brushed the running rail near the 900m..

NOBLE TONE (J. Stanley) was hard ridden before the 600m. and compounded over the concluding stages. A veterinary examination of NOBLE TONE revealed the gelding to be sore in the off hind leg.

Near the 500m., BRANCH (S. Galloway) raced in restricted room inside the heels of NOBLE TONE, which shifted ground under pressure.

NOTHIN' LEICA CUZA commenced to hang in on straightening and the horse continued to hang in until near the finish line.

When questioned concerning the disappointing performance of I'M FRENCH, M. Cahill stated that despite the horse being tightened in the early stages, the gelding was under pressure and hard ridden from the 500m. and did not respond to his riding in the straight. Trainer's representative Mr B. Hill was unable to offer any explanation for the performance of the horse today. A veterinary examination of I'M FRENCH failed to reveal any abnormality.

Race 3: Dodge Class 6 H'cap - 1200m.
1st - Tornado Alley 2nd - San Franfrisco 3rd - Frisco Agogo 4th - Telegrand

Following a veterinary examination of DREAM 'N' SCHEME behind the barriers, the gelding was cleared to race.

FADE (S. Katsidis) jumped in the air and missed the start.

DREAM 'N' SCHEME (B. Hull) jumped away awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, KOALA (G. Palmer) jumped inwards and this resulted in FADE losing further ground.

When questioned concerning the disappointing performance of FADE, S. Katsidis stated that the horse settled further back in the field then anticipated due to its missing the start, however the horse, in his opinion, travelled like it would be better suited over longer distances. Trainer J. Wallace added he anticipated the horse racing closer to the lead, however after missing the start, he felt that the horse was not entirely suited by the pattern of the race, particularly with the final 600m. being run in 33.8 seconds, and believed that the horse at this time of its preparation may be looking for races over longer distances. A veterinary examination of FADE failed to reveal any abnormality and a swab sample was taken.

Race 4: De Gaulle Lane No More Than 1mw in last 12 months H'cap - 1000m.
1st - Mt Gower 2nd - Sequality 3rd - Chocolate Starfish 4th - Seahawk Lass

SEAHAWK LASS jumped away awkwardly and shifted out, tightening ASTRALOBE (S. Kaya).

SO EQUAL (S. Katsidis) jumped in at the start, tightening MT. GOWER (B. Hull) on to CHOCOLATE STARFISH (J. Byrne), and HOOT'S VIEW (M. Pelling), which was a little slow to jump, was cramped.

Passing the 200m., CHOCOLATE STARFISH (J. Byrne) was inclined to lay in behind the heels of MT. GOWER (B. Hull). SEAHAWK LASS, which was racing to the inside of CHOCOLATE STARFISH, was inconvenienced.

Race 5: Turridu NMW H'cap - 2125m.
1st - Know A Lady 2nd - Tarrasch 3rd - Bridle Star 4th - Next Of Ken

GEM OF THE WOODS (K. Pope) jumped outwards on to NEXT OF KEN (J. Powell) at the start.

TENNESSEE JOHN (J. Taylor) was slow into stride.

RAJA PRINCE (M. Pelling) commenced to pull hard leaving the 1800m., and continued to pull hard for some distance.

Passing the 1200m., TARRASCH (S. Katsidis) was galloped on as a result of QUIN THE ESKIMO (A. Pattillo) improving on to its heels when the paced slowed. A veterinary examination of TARRASCH revealed that the gelding had sustained a laceration to its off side hind heel.

Near the 700m., FANCY FOXY (Shohei Kaya) shifted out off the heels of HENRY THE OCTOPUS (B. Hull), taking TENNESSEE JOHN (J. Taylor) wider on the track.

Race 6: Air Seattle No MW H'cap - 1300m.
