Race 1: Eidsvold Race Club F&M Maiden H'cap - 1300m
As M. Vance was to be overweight, A. Taylor was substituted as the rider of ALMASEA. M. Vance was fined the sum of $100.
MISS FIFI, which was fractious in the barriers and became cast, and GAYLEN, which kicked out in the barriers, were examined by the veterinary surgeon and declared late scratchings on veterinary advice at 12.30 pm.
CROCODILE DANCER, which was in the barrier stall between MISS FIFI and GAYLEN, also underwent a veterinary examination and was subsequently cleared to start.
All monies invested on GAYLEN and MISS FIFI were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable to bets placed on winner and place-getters prior to 12.30 pm.

Trainer J. Morrisey was advised that MISS FIFI must trial satisfactorily in an official trial prior to its next race start.
ASTRALIN (G. Goold) was slow to begin.
MISS CANNYBLU (C. Whiteley) overraced during the middle stages.
CROCODILE DANCER (C. Munce) hung out rounding the home turn.
ALMASEA (A. Taylor) raced wide for the majority of the race.
When questioned regarding the performance of VIV'S REIGN, G. Colless stated that his mount travelled well until a point near the 500m however from then onwards the mare was inclined to race with its head up in the air and began to climb in its action, which prevented him from riding the horse out in his normal manner in the early part of the straight. He added that VIV'S REIGN lost a significant amount of ground between the 300m and 200m and proved disappointing. A post race veterinary examination of VIV'S REIGN failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
Race 2: Bundaberg Race Club G&E Maiden H'cap - 1300m
UNDERTHEPRIVACYACT (A. Allen), FOREGONE (E. Wilkinson) and TING TONG TIGER (A. Pattillo) were all slow to begin.
FOREGONE hung out from a point leaving the 600m until entering the home straight.
Shortly after entering the home straight, MARKET WISE (G. Colless) was awkwardly placed on the heels of the weakening KING IVAN (M. Vance) and shifted out and in doing so made contact with REAL DYNAMITE (R. Ride).
TING TONG TIGER (A. Pattillo) was held up for clear running from a point leaving the 300m until near the 200m.
FOREGONE and TOPENDING (T. Bell) raced wide throughout.
A post race veterinary examination of KING IVAN, which weakened over the latter stages, failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
Race 3: Lockyer Race Club Class 4 H'cap – 1400m
Connections advised that ARCTIC would be ridden in a more forward position if circumstances permit. After being slow to begin, ARCTIC raced wide for the majority of the race and improved to a forward position during the middle stages.
A pre race veterinary examination of CHEVAL DU FEU was carried out at the request of its trainer after he reported the horse looked awkward in its action in its preliminary to the barriers. CHEVAL DU FEU was cleared to take its place in the field.
SPARKLING SOUND (T. Bell) and ARCTIC (A. Allen), were both slow to begin.
KAROSSE (E. Wilkinson) and MORE COLOURS (R. Ride) both overraced during the middle stages.
Approaching the 800m, BANNER (D. Hayse) was inconvenienced when attempting to take a run between SPARKLING SOUND and HUXTABLE (M. Cahill), which shifted out away from ARCTIC, which itself shifted out slightly.
A. Allen, rider of ARCTIC, was reprimanded using his whip more than 5 times times prior to the 100m and for using his whip on one occasion inconsecutive strides.
Race 4: South East Country Racing Association 3yo Maiden Plate - 1200m
GLENDARA (C. Munce) and LET IT FLY (T. Bell) were slow to begin.
Approaching the 1000m, ENDLESS PUZZLE (P. Holmes), when being eased, was hampered slightly by GLENDARA (C. Munce), which shifted out.
T. Harrison, rider of GOJO MIMO, was reprimanded for permitting her mount to shift in near the 1000m whilst steadying the pace, resulting in VERY CONVINCING (R. Wiggins) having to be steadied to avoid the heels of GOJO MIMO.
For some distance leaving the 800m, GOJO MIMO overraced at the heels of VERY CONVINCING and was steadied on a number of occasions.
Near the 300m, PALMERA LAD (C. McIver) was checked after improving up on to the heels of UNDIAMO (A. Taylor) and as a result lost ground.
CHARIOT OF GOLD (T. Bell) shifted in under pressure in the home straight, making heavy contact with VERY CONVINCING on several occasions, resulting in both runners becoming unbalanced.
LET IT FLY (A. Allen) and GLENDARA raced wide throughout.
Jockey J. Morris reported that the saddle on IF EVER slid back over the final 200m, placing him at a disadvantage.
Race 5: Gympie Turf Club Class 5 H'cap - 1800m
Correct weight was delayed to allow M. Vance, rider of the 2nd placegetter, EPIC DRAGON, to view the photo finish print for 1st. Subsequently M. Vance was satisfied with the Judge's placings.
On leaving the saddling enclosure, S. Bogenhuber was dislodged after the bridle on EASY LAGER became detached. EASY LAGER then galloped for some distance, proving difficult to recapture and cause a delay to the start of this race.
EASY LAGER was declared a late scratching at 2.48 pm by the order of the stewards, with all bets placed prior to 2.48 pm to be refunded, and the following deductions applicable to bets placed on winner and place-getters prior to the scratching time.

In the circumstances, no action was taken against EASY LAGER.
HIGHER ORDER (B. Appo) raced wide during the early stages.
CASTLE EXPRESS (T. Bell) overraced during the middle stages.
LENTINI MIST (J. Byrne) and TERTIARY (J. Morris) made heavy contact near the 500m.
Near the 400m, VICTORVETO (E. Wilkinson) attempted to take a run between CASTLE EXPRESS, which shifted out slightly, and the HIGHER ORDER, which was weakening. This resulted in E. Wilkinson having to take hold of VICTORVETO.
Race 6: Beaudesert Race Club F&M Class 3 H'cap - 1200m
The explanation tendered by trainer B. Baldwin for the late scratching of REVACIOUS was accepted.
MUSICAL LADY (J. Byrne) and DREAM WITH ME (C. Schmidt) were slow to begin.
Passing the 1000m, both EAST VILLAGE (A. Allen) and LADY PRIMM (M. Cahill) were placed in restricted room to the inside of GALLINARI (L. Cassidy), which shifted in. L. Cassidy, rider of GALLINARY, was reprimanded and advised to ensure he provides sufficient racing room for his fellow riders in future.
Near the 900m, both LADY PRIMM and GALINARI raced in restricted room to the inside of BAY STAR (K. Matheson) which shifted in. K. Matheson was reprimanded and advised to ensure he provides sufficient racing room for his fellow riders in similar circumstances.
Near the 500m, OCTANE FLYER (R. McMahon) shifted out to improve and in doing so forced EAST VILLAGE wider on the track.
Near the 200m, LADY PRIMM shifted to the outside of the heels of GALLINARI (L. Cassidy) in order to improve however was prevented from shifting further when MUSICAL LADY improved to the outside of LADY PRIMM.
Passing the 100m, FINNIGAN'S FOLLY (T. Bell) was disappointed for a run between MS BA BELLA (B. El-Issa) and DREAM WITH ME (C. Schmidt), which shifted in under pressure.
PINK BRIETTA (J. Morris) raced wide throughout.
Race 7: Kilcoy Racing Club Inc. Class 4 H'cap - 1000m
As N. Tomizawa was indisposed, J. Byrne was substituted as the rider of KEMPELLY.
RHYTHM 'N' RAP (G. Colless) was slow to begin.
INTERJECT (J. Stanley) began awkwardly.
Shortly after the start, LUCKY LEISH (C. Munce) and CHARSUI (R. Ride) were both tightened for room at the start between BATTEN THE HATCHES (R. Jamieson) and SEEKING MORE (K. Matheson), both of which shifted ground.
Passing the 700m, LUCKY LEISH had to be steadied to avoid the heels of SEEKING MORE, which shifted in. K. Matherson, rider of SEEKING MORE, was advised to exercise more care.
Near the 500m, TRAVIESO (J. Morris) was placed in restricted room between FEISTY LADY (B. Appo) and SEEKING MORE (K. Matheson), which shifted in. In this incident, LUCKY LEISH, which was following, shifted out to improve and forced KEMPELLY (J. Byrne) wider on the track.
LUCKY LEISH was inclined to lay out rounding the home turn and was forced wider when TRAVIESO shifted out to improve.
R. Ride, rider of CHARSUI, was severely reprimanded for permitting her mount to shift in leaving the 150m forcing RHYTHM 'N' RAP in across the heels of the tiring INTERJECT and as a result had to be checked.
CONHENRI (K. Yoshida) and KEMPELLY (J. Byrne) raced wide for the majority of the race.
B. Appo reported FEISTY LADY hung out throughout the event, placing him at a disadvantage.
Race 8: Burrandowan Picnic Race Club G&E Class 3 H'cap - 1200m
As R. Wiggins was stood down by the club's doctor and was replaced by M. Cahill as the rider of SMASHER.
PIGGY BANK (A. Pattillo) was slow to begin.
Near the 600m, OCTANE FLYER (R. McMahon) shifted out and bumped the hind quarters of JAZZBO MARKS, resulting in JAZZBO MARKS becoming unbalanced. In this incident, ST ANDREWS, which was following, shifted in, making contact with PIGGY BANK. A short distance later, ST ANDREWS shifted out and bumped the hind quarters of SMASHER and became unbalanced.
Passing the 500m, OCTANE FLYER (R. McMahon) shifted out to improve and in doing so fored JAZZBO MARKS (A. Allen) wider on the track.
SPATHA (R. Jamieson) was held up for clear running from the 450m until passing the 250m.
SILK TRADERS (A. Spinks), JAZZBO MARKS (A. Allen) and SMASHER (M. Cahill) raced wide throughout.
EASTERN PRINCE was held up for clear running for the majority of the home straight and was unable to be fully tested.
A post race veterinary examination of PHOENIX FORCE, which compounded in the home straight, was found to be making an abnormal respiratory noise. Trainer B. Hill will be advised that a veterinary clearance would be required for PHOENIX FORCE prior to its next race start.
