EINASLEIGH RACE CLUB STEWARDS REPORT SATURDAY 30.03.02

STEWARDS PANEL: W.A.L. ABLE, MS J. STEELE

WEATHER – Fine TRACK – Good RAIL –

RACE 1: PRIMAC ELDERS TOWNSVILLE MAIDEN HANDICAP 820 metres

Starters 4 – BLUE REGENT (J. Long) was slow into galloping action and raced wide negotiating the home turn and down the straight.

RACE 2: PARRY NISSAN AND SUNCORP-METWAY CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1220 metres

Starters 7 – BOMBARDIER (K. Brady) was slow to leave the starting stalls and trailed the field throughout the running of the race. After passing the winning post BOMBARDIER fell and expired. The Club’s Veterinary surgeon confirmed that the gelding suffered a massive aneurism and bled internally. All weights raised 2.5kg.

RACE 3: D & E COLLINS AND J NIMMO CLASS 6 HANDICAP 1220 metres

Starters 4 – no reportable incidents.

RACE 4: MEMBERS MEMORIAL BRACELET OPEN HANDICAP 1020 metres.

Starters 3 – All weights raised 2 kgs.

RACE 5: TURNER AGENCIES AND FRANSEN PLUMBING CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1020 metres

Starters 5 – All weights raised 2 kgs. MISS HIGH LIFE (L. Nelson) and CHIEF CHEROKEE (J. Lewis) drifted wide negotiating the home turn.
