Race 1: Maiden Plate (2yo &Up Sw) Distance – 820 Mtrs
1st- Mala Mala 2nd-Surpasser 3rd- My Name Is Earl 4th- The Babindian

On proceeding to the barriers, The Babindian (D. Crossland) was dislodged. Subsequently David Crossland was examined by the Area Nurse & passed to fulfil his engagement. The Club’s Veterinarian inspected The Babindian & passed it fit to start. Trainer Stephen Potiris was advised that a repetition of the horses manners would result in a ban being placed on the horse.

At the start The Babindian (David Crossland) began awkwardly.

Green As Grass (Kerry Rockett) jumped out at the start & bumped The Babindian(David Crossland). A short distance later Green As Grass then rolled in onto Mala Mala ( Grant Lemos).

On returning to scale Jockey Crossland complained of pain in his shoulder & foot.
He was again examined by the nurse & declared unfit to fulfil his remaining engagements.
Jockey Crossland was advised by the stewards that he must produce a medical certificate before he rides again.

Race 2: Class “1” Handicap ( QTIS) Distance – 1020mtrs
1st -Pubs Baron 2nd - Master Trader 3rd -Top Ross 4th-Hey Sissy
Northern Dust (Grant Lemos) proved difficult to load.


Race 3: Open Bracelet Handicap Distance – 1020 mtrs
1st -Smart and Fast 2nd -Truss 3rd -Tippu Tip 4th- Piraeus
No Incidents.

Jockey Shane Morris was fined $50 under LR33 (18) for failing to wear the proper racing colours for Edgewana.

Race 4: Class”6” Handicap Distance - 1620
1st - Hobson’s Choice 2nd - Vacillator 3rd - Vittoriall 4th- Carry The Brave
Hobson’s Choice who was fractious in the barriers reared as the gates opened.
