Apprentice J Dagan was reprimanded for failing to claim down to his riding weight.
Race 1: Coates Hire QTIS Maiden Plate 1000 metres
Grey Soigne jumped out at the start hampering Lucojo and Yarramin Nuri.
Shortly after the start Sly Guy shifted out and made heavy contact with Flying Charm.
Race 2: Radio 4HI Class 4 Handicap 1000 metres
After travelling a short distance Star Anchor had to be checked when tightened for room between Edgeroi Adam which was taken out slightly by La Bebe, and Storm Strike which was inclined to hung in despite the efforts of its rider M Goodwin.
Race 3: Ensham Resources Handicap 1000 metres
Gancia Sovereign and Acquire were slow to begin.
Race 4: Emerald Carrying Co Class B Handicap 1300 metres
Trainer W Baker was fined $50 for failing to declare a rider for Sly Tycoon by the prescribed time.
Approaching the 1000 metres Miles On was tightened for room by Amusing Ned which was over racing to the inside of Kalinga Pie which shifted in slightly. R Barone the rider of Kalinga Pie was advised to exercise care.
Jockey R Barone reported that Kalinga Pie got its Tongue over the bit during the event.
Race 5: Fairbairn Motors/Peter Maundrell & Co Emerald “100” 2000 metres
On returning to scale Jockey B Appo the rider of Charnwood Prince requested to view the photo finish print. Due to a technical breakdown there wasn’t a photo taken. After taking evidence from the Judge Mr J Campbell and his assistant Mr R Byrne and acting under AR156 the Stewards declared correct weight on the numbers that had been posted by the Judge. 1st 5 2nd 8 3rd 2 4th 4
Trainer W Trimble was reminded of his obligations under AR140(a) that he must report to Stewards any condition or occurrence that may affect his Horses running in a race.
Charnwood Prince and Boyarin(NZ) were tightened on jumping between Split the Wind and Executive Room both, which shifted ground.
Exploder was inclined to shift out under pressure over the concluding stages.
A post race veterinary examination of Charnwood Prince revealed a laceration to the outside of the near fore.
Race 6: Central Queensland News Class 6 Handicap 1300 metres
On return to scale a protest was lodged by R Barone the rider of the second Horse Baa Ha against Snaalee ( M Goodwin ) being declared the winner alleging interference on three occasions at the home turn, 200 metres and the 150 metres. After taking evidence and viewing the Stewards video the Stewards were of the opinion that at the home turn Baa Ha hadn’t obtained the run to the inside of Snaalee, but believed Snaalee did dictate Baa Ha for a number of strides near the 200 metres. Snaalee was then straightened by its rider M Goodwin and Stewards were of the opinion that the bump at the 150 metres was a result of Baa Ha shifting back out, and considering the margin the protest was dismissed. Correct weight was declared on 1st 2 2nd 4 3rd 8 4th 7.
Hot Tycoon (NZ) was slow to begin.
Jockey G Bell the rider of Star of Clang was severely reprimanded for allowing her mount to shift in approaching the 250 metres resulting in Hot Tycoon (NZ) to lose its position.
