Race 1: QTIS Maiden Plate - 1000 metres
CLEAR INTENT (L Timson) slowly away.
SILVER SIS (S Quick) jumped outwards coming into contact with FOXYCAT (G Bell).
FOXYCAT raced greenly in the early stages.
M Barham (WESTERN SCENE) reported that his mount raced ungenerously in the early stages and never felt comfortable throughout the race.
Jockey M Young (MINDOON MISS) reported that he felt his mount had pulled up shin-sore. A veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Race 2: QRSE CLASS B HANDICAP - 1100 metres
MACHADO (M Evans) had to be steadied in the middle stages when that horse tended to over race.

Race 3: CLASS 4 HANDICAP – 1200 metres
Prior to the race trainer R Hay requested permission to remove the tongue-tie from SEVERENCE as the horse had bitten its tongue and the tongue-tie was irritating the horse. A veterinary inspection confirmed this and permission was granted.
On the home turn ALANOR KING (G Bell) attempted to take a doubtful run between LADY ANDIAMO (L Timson) and REGAL TOM (R Hall), which were both weakening, resulting in ALANOR KING having to check.
Shortly after straightening DAJANETER (D Simmons) shifted in sharply to obtain a run and had to ease from the heels of REGAL TOM when his horse shifted in too far.

Race 4: OPEN HANDICAP - 1200 metres
On the home turn ESPIRE had to be steadied off the heels of BAA HA (J Stephens) when WILKES' JOY (D Rewald) drifted off the fence. CHIEF HARMONY (S Quick) was inconvenienced in the incident when it attempted a run inside WILKES' JOY.

Race 5: OPEN HANDICAP - 2000 metres
HELLO CHIEF (D Simmons) returned to scale lame in the off fore. A veterinary examination revealed the horse was suffering damage to the suspensory ligament.
LEICA KAAPTIVE returned to scale with blood in one nostril.

Race 6: CLASS 2 HANDICAP – 1300 metres
As the field jumped RENTREE (L Timson) blundered causing L Timson to lose her left iron. She took some 50 metres to recover the iron.
At about the 200 metres HIT THE COT (M Young) drifted in causing RENTREE to change course. M Young was reminded of his responsibilities.
