SARRY KAN was a late scratching by order of the stewards at 1.25pm when it dislodged it’s rider D Whitmore on the way to the barriers. SARRY KAN left the course. Trainer N Coyne was advised that a warning was placed on the horse. Deductions of 16cents in the win and 18cents in the place where order on correct weight.
EDGEROI TRIXIE attempted to buck in the early stages of the event, and took no further part in the race. Trainer N Coyne was advised that EDGEROI TRIXIE would be required to pass an official barrier trial before next start.
MUCH LOVED was slow into stride.
NATIVES GOLD made the home turn wide.
Race 2: CLASS 4 HANDICAP - 1000 metres

CLAYMORE jumped out at the start making contact with PARIS MAIZ.
ARMANENT was fractious in the barriers and shifted out approaching the winning post making contact with VALHULLA.

FRED WILL KNOW raced greenly in the early and middle stages of the event.
Race 4: CLASS B HANDICAP – 1200 metres

GOLDEN SHEEN was a late scratching by order of the stewards at 3.20pm. No deductions were required as betting had not commenced.
Trainer L Horstman was fined the sum of $100 under the terms of AR 175(k) in that she was negligent in that she failed to confirm with D Whitmore to ride GOLDEN SHEEN as D Whitmore had other commitments back in Rockhampton. No other rider was available.
CRAIGLEA SHARP jumped awkwardly loosing ground.
