Trainer C Smith was fined $50 under LR70 for failing to declare jockeys by the required time.
KEOAMOR was slow away.
KAAPERINA jumped out at the start onto MISS SNIFFLE.
HACIDA and KEOAMAR made contact just after the start.
Leaving the 500 metres MISS SNIFFLE had to be steadied to avoid the heels of GO ATOM which shifted in.
At about the 350 metre mark ARISTOPHANES shifted out and bumped MISS SNIFFLE which in turn bumped KAAPERINA.
TRUCCO raced wide on the home turn.
BOUQUET DANCER was disappointed for a run at about the 300 metre mark.
Approaching the 200 metre mark GO ATOM shifted in and as a result SCOOT KAN which was weakening had to ease.
Race 2 Class B Handicap – 1100 metres
1st IN JEOPARDY 2nd SPARSPRI 3rd MY VIEW 4th PRETTY ENOUGH
LITTLE LYNX was a late scratching at 2:00pm as it refused to load. Stewards ordered all monies on LITTLE LYNX to be refunded and deductions of 20 cents in the win and 16 cents in place. Trainer T Austin was advised the horse would be required to barrier trial prior to next start.
ALQUO ROSE jumped out at the start onto GOLDEN SHEEN.
SPARSPRI jumped out at the start onto CHARLEE BUKIT.
PRETTY ENOUGH raced wide throughout.
Race 3 Class 4 Handicap – 1200 metres
1st HOULAHAN 2nd STONY IT IS 3rd MARENA LAD 4th VALHULLA
SRIETTE was a late scratching at 12:30pm on veterinary advice. No deductions were necessary as betting had not begun.
As the gates opened SAGIT HERO (NZ) commenced to buck and dislodged it’s rider who took a harmless fall. Trainer R Meek was advised the horse would be required to barrier trial prior to next start.
HOULAHAN drifted out under pressure over the concluding stages inconveniencing MARENA LAD.
Race 4 Open Handicap – 1200 metres
1st FEARLESS RACER 2nd KID MILLIONS 3rd HOW HIGH SIR 4th DYNAMIC DANCING
Jockey M Barnham was examined by ambulance staff prior to the running of the race and was cleared to ride.
HOW HIGH SIR and KID MILLIONS were both slow away.
DYNAMIC DANCING jumped in at the start onto PRIDE AND POWER.
THE FALCON raced wide in the early and middle stages.
Race 5 Class 2 Handicap – 1300 metres
1st KUGAH 2nd EDGEROI EVE 3rd SPRINGSURE ROAD 4th INTREPID ONE
DECANT raced wide throughout.
INTREPID ONE raced wide around the home turn.
KUGAH returned to the enclosure with blood on it’s off side nostril only.
Race 6 Emerald 100 Open Handicap - 1635 metres
1st AGAIN A GAIN 2nd BRANCH OF GOLD 3rd VAIN JOE 4th FILZAO
PEACE DANCE jumped out onto FILZAO at the start.
PIMPALA PLAYER and BRANCH OF GOLD bumped at about the 350 metre mark.
