Race 1: PIONEER PARK QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000M:
1st – Le Mirage 2nd – Doodahippy Shake 3rd – St Abbie 4th – Sir Echo

SECOND HAND MAC (App E. Wilson) was declared a late withdrawal at 1.32pm after the filly broke through the barriers and completed a lap of the track riderless. On the announcement of correct weight stewards ordered that all monies invested on SECOND HAND MAC be refunded in full with all successful bets be less the deductions of 23c in the dollar on the face value of the win ticket and less 18c in the dollar on the face value of the place ticket.

DOODAHIPPY SHAKE (App A. Butler) jumped away awkwardly.

DUTCH PICCOLO (App K. Mizobe) was slow to begin.

Near the 800m, ST ABBIE (D. Whitmore) had to be steadied off the heels of LE MIRAGE (N. Patchett).

Race 2: XXXX OPEN HANDICAP 1000M:
1st – Danzig Warrior 2nd – True General 3rd – August Fair 4th – Cyclone George

RA SUN (W. Bell) was slow to begin.

CYCLONE GEORGE (N. Patchett) was held up for clear running from leaving the 200m and until near the 80m.

TRUE GENERAL (M. Cant) and LADY IN SILK (App K. Mizobe) both raced wide for the majority of the event.


Race 3: IAN & SHARYN CHARLES FENCING CLASS B HANDICAP 1100M:
1st – Western Chat 2nd – Tayanso 3rd – Myffanwys Angel 4th – Speed Limit

GRAIN TRADER (App E. Wilson) and PERICOLO (C. Beets) were both slow to begin.

At the start, TAYANSO (N. Patchett) had to be checked when tightened for room between CASHUPNOTICK (W. Bell) and SPEED LIMIT (J. Kehoe) both of which shifted ground.

TAYANSO (N. Patchett) shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.

GRAIN TRADER (App E. Wilson) raced wide for the majority of the event.




Race 4: DONOVAN & HEUMILLER FAMILIES CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1200M:
1st – Ching Hoi Boy 2nd – Rocking Melody 3rd – Nickaway 4th – Asian Thunder


STRATLIN PARK (M. Cullen) jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.

ASIAN THUNDER (App A. Butler) and ARSANG (M. Cant) bumped on jumping away.

Near the 600m, TANTIC POSER (App E. Wilson) had to be steadied when tightened for room by AFTER THE FACT (D. Whitmore) which as initially taken in by BARWON RIVER (W. Bell). Both W. Bell and D. Whitmore were advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

ASIAN THUNDER (App A. Butler) raced wide for the majority of the event.



Race 5: HAPPY ENGAGEMENT BROCK & CAROLINE CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1615M:
1st – Apple Crumble 2nd – Hezaburraboy 3rd – Filatrove 4th – Kaaperina


RAVISSEUR (M. Cullen) jumped away awkwardly.

REGAL MOUNTAIN (N. Patchett) raced wide for the majority of the event.

A post race veterinary examination of REGAL MOUNTAIN failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
