Race 1: MAIDEN PLATE 1000 METRES
1st – FINE SHAKIRA 2nd – FORBIDDEN FOREST 3rd – DANCING RHYTHM 4th – DARRAFLYER

FORBIDDEN FOREST (T O’Hara) began awkwardly.
FINE SHAKIRA (M Cant) and STACCATO (D Simmons) brushed on jumping.
PRINCE PIERCE (N Patchett) jumped in and bumped DARRAFLYER (L Dillon).
DANCING RHYTM (M Barnham) jumped inwards and bumped OUTA THE WEST (D Monaghan).
PRINCE PIERCE over raced from the 800 metres to approximately the 600 metres.
MARY OF SCOTLAND (T Bannon) ran about in the straight.
PRINCE PEIRCE lay in over the concluding stages.

Race 2: CLASS 3 PLATE 1000 METRES
1st – NERANGATANG 2nd – GOLDEN SAILS 3rd – WANNSEE KNIGHT 4th – FAULT LINE

ROCKING MELODY (S Watkin) lay on the side of the barriers as the gates opened and as a consequence was extremely slow to begin. Trainer Lynette Petersen was advised that a warning would be placed on ROCKING MELODY.
On jumping REGAL MOUNTAIN (L Dillon) jumped outwards and MONTAZOA (D Simmons) jumped inwards severely hampering BLACK ANGUS (M Usher) causing that horse to lose ground.
WANNSEE KNIGHT (D Whitmore) and SHY BUCK (T Bannon) both raced wide throughout.
Near the 500 metres, NUDE ETRUSCAN (App C M Pye) began to compound badly and yield ground. NUDE ETRUSCAN finished tailed off and on being pulled up, collapsed and died. After been inspected by the veterinary surgeon it was determined that NUDE ETRUSCAN had bled from both nostrils.
NERANGATANG (T O’Hara) shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages.


Race 3: OPEN HANDICAP 1200 metres
1st – STOUTFAST 2nd – DECERTO 3rd – MASSIAH 4th – DANZIG WARRIOR

As the start was effected BIG EASY (M Usher) jumped outwards and
JY’S PROSPECT (App A Taylor) jumped inwards causing DANZIG WARRIOR (C Beets) to be tightened for room.
MASSIAH (D Whitmore) raced wide throughout.
STOUTFAST (L Dillon) shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages causing DANZIG WARRIOR (C Beets) to shift inwards across the heels of STOUTFAST.




Race 4: CLASS B HANDICAP 1300 metres
1st – LEICA ZED 2nd – FRAARCAS 3rd – MOCHA TART 4th – GRAND NEDIYM

MOLLO (T O’Hara) was declared a late scratching at 3.30pm by stewards acting on veterinary advice. Prior to correct weight been declared stewards ordered all monies invested on MOLLO to be refunded. Stewards also ordered deductions of 8 cents in the face value of all win bets and 8 cents in the face value of all place bets were to occur.
PERICOLA (S Watkin) was slow into stride.
GRAND NEDIYM (T Bannon) jumped outwards and bumped SENORINA (App C M Pye).
MOCHA TART (L Dillon) jumped outwards and bumped heavily with RAVENON (N Patchett) causing RAVENON to lose ground.
PERICOLA was held up for clear running from the 300 metres to approximately the
100 metres behind FERNFIELD (C Beets) and BOLD GREY (App A Taylor).
MOCCA TART shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.

Race 5: CLASS 5 HANDICAP 1300 metres
1st – KELANCE 2nd – SPLIT MILK 3rd – WILD HERO 4th – COMMAND TO SMILE

MANDS BOND (M Cullen) was slow into stride.
Approaching the 800 metres LETS GO BONGO (L Dillon) shifted outwards forcing
COMMAND TO SMILE (A Coome) wider on the track then shortly after shifted inwards causing ORPEN LOVE (C Beets) to steady. Jockey Luke Dillon was reminded of his obligations when shifting ground.
NORTHERN MAN (D Monaghan) and WILD HERO (M Cant) brushed on several occasions over the concluding stages.
