Race 1: Jackson Painting Maiden Handicap- 1000 metres
1st – FOREBODING 2nd –HALLE MCOLLYWILL 3rd – PRINCESS PALYA 4th- GRAND HOTEL
This race was delayed due to the late arrival of Jockey L. Dillon due to transport difficulties. On weighing out, as Jockey Dillon was found to be overweight, Stewards permitted Jockey W. Doyle to be substituted as the rider of ASHA THE SMASHA. Due to mitigating circumstances, Jockey Dillon was reprimanded under AR 120(b)..
On being placed in the barrier, COOL CALL (D. Philpot) reared and become cast. All runners were removed from the barriers. Acting on veterinary advice, Stewards declared COOL CALL a late scratching at 1.35pm. Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all bets on COOL CALL be refunded with winning bets to be paid less deductions of

HALLY MCOLLYWILL 17c place
A veterinary examination revealed that the mare had sustained a laceration to its off hind leg. Trainer G Philpot was advised that a veterinary certificate and a further barrier certificate would be required prior to its next race start or trial.
PRINCESS PALYA (App H Kim) was slow to begin.
ASHA THE SMASHA jumped in and lost some ground when it made contact with HALLE MCOLLYWILL (S. McCullum).
HALLE MCOLLYWILL laid out from approximately the 800 metres until near the 350 metres.
PRINCESS PALYA shifted out under pressure from near the 100 metres and near the winning post hampered GRAND HOTEL (S. McGovern) Apprentice Kim, with the assistance of Jockey P Hamblin, was shown the available patrol film and advised of his obligation to stop riding and straighten his mount.
Race 2: KLR Trades Class 2 Handicap- 1000 metres
1st – ONCE AGAIN MELDAY 2nd – KIARA QUEEN 3rd – MAGIC WALTZ 4th – THE RUNAWAY
ONCE AGAIN MELADY (T. O’Hara) began awkwardly and over-raced in the early stages.
DASSAULT (App H Kim) jumped out and bumped THE RUNAWAY (D. Philpot).
Shortly after the start, MY SHOUT (J Babarovich) ducked out and hampered DASSAULT.
SASCHA’S SPIRIT (S. McGovern) jumped in across SPOTTED EAGLE (App A Kiton) which had been a little slow to begin.
During the middle stages KIARA QUEEN (E. Heinemann) hung out and rounding the home turn, shifted wider on the track and RUNNING WILD (App G Steele) and MAGIC WALTZ (C. Pye) were taken wider.
Near the 200 metres, RUNNING WILD shifted out under pressure and bumped MAGIC WALTZ.
SPOTTED EAGLE and RUNNING WILD raced wide throughout.
Race 3: Hot FM Handicap- 1200 metres
1st – FALLS CREEK 2nd – SEAGAL 3rd – LIBERTY TYCOON 4th – RAHULA
RAHULA (S. McCullum) knuckled at the start.
LIBERTY TYCOON (T O’Hara) raced three wide throughout.
Race 4: Young Concreting BM 65 Handicap- 1300 metres
1st – STREETFIRE 2nd – KANSKJE 3rd – POWER TO EXCEED 4th – NORDIC WARRIOR
KANSKJE (App H Kim), which had been throwing its head in the barrier, was slow into stride.
CRAIGLEA RAWIE (App G Steele) jumped in onto STREETFIRE (L. Dillon), which was taken in onto POWER TO EXCEED (P Hamblin) and BEE JAY SENZA (S. McGovern) which lost ground.
CRAIGLEA RAWIE and SOCIETY LASS (J Babarovich) raced wide throughout.
Near the 200 metres, CRAIGLEA RAWIE shifted in when being ridden along and caused LA LUNE DE MIEL (C. Pye) to be steadied and held up for a short distance. Apprentice Steele was advised to exercise more care.
Race 5: Keato’s Signs Class B Handicap- 1615 metres
1st –NORDIC JET 2nd – LEICAZUPA 3rd – RESTRAINING ORDER 4th – THE PANTZ
NORDIC JET (L. Dillon) and THE PANTZ (S. McGovern) were slow to begin.
KISS AND CONTROL (W. Doyle) over-raced in the early stages.
DEVIOUS MAN (App G Steele) raced three wide in the early stages.
RESTRAINING ORDER (C Pye) raced wide throughout.
THE PANTZ raced wide and improved forward from near the 800 metres.
