RACE 1 T HARTLAND & J HILBRINK MEMORIAL HCP – 1460M

Due to a misunderstanding, B. Swanton, was declared as the rider of PETIT D’OR. Stewards accepted all parties explanations and gave permission for J. Babarovich to replace B. Swanton as the rider for PETIT D’OR.

PETIT D’OR was slow to begin. NEARLY A DANE shifted out at the start and made contact with CHARLOTTES WILL. SO VITAL jumped away awkwardly.

COTTAGE ROOF was held up rounding the home turn behind the tiring HEY LASS. ORBITING STAR was inclined to lay out over the concluding stages.

RACE 2 ATHOL JENKINSON MEMORIAL HCP – 1200M

HATTA’S ROSE was slow to begin.

RACE 3 ESK HOSPITAL AUXILIARY HCP – 1200M

SAHARA BRAVE shifted out at the start making heavy contact with DICEY LADY. FIRE OF HEAVEN and WINGS AWAY were both slow to begin.

RACE 4 RSL GIRL IN A MILLION HCP – 800M

ACE DIVER was slow to begin. AL DANCER was momentarily tightened for room shortly after the start by LORD GEIGER which shifted in. M. Lister, rider of LORD GEIGER, was advised to exercise care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.

RACE 5 COUNTRY BOOKMAKERS MEMORIAL HCP – 800M

REGAL ESCORT was declared a late scratching at 4.20 pm on vet’s advice after becoming fractious in the barriers and sustaining an injury to the off hind.

MISS INDY was also declared a late scratching at 4.20 pm when it was unable to be loaded. Trainer J. Johnston was advised MISS INDY would have to obtain a further barrier certificate prior to its next race start.

All investments were refunded on both scratched runners. Deductions of 16 cents the win and 18 cents the place were ordered.

HULIOUS was slow to begin. IRISH WONDER jumped away awkwardly.

FUJI GREATSON shifted in and made heavy contact with the running rail rounding the home turn.

All winners were sent to be swabbed.
