PARTRIDGE (App K Cunningham) was slowly away.
Stewards questioned The Trainer of PARTRIDGE Mr L Anderson regarding the seemingly improved run compared to the horse’s previous race at Bundaberg on the 6th September 2003. Mr Anderson stated PARTRIDGE was slowly away at Bundaberg and did not stride out when sand was thrown back. Mr Anderson stated he believed the Class of horse at Gayndah was not as strong as the Class at Bundaberg. Stewards noted this explanation.
The winner PARTRIDGE was swabbed.
Race 2 C & NB TIMES/BURNETT AG SERVICE MAIDEN PLATE 1000MTRS
No racing incidents to report.
Race 3 CRAIGLEA MARR’S BURNETT TO THE BEACH CLASS 4 HCP 1000MTRS
TOMMIX (Jky D Gill) and GALWAY STAR (Jky R Hancock) were slowly away.
MACHTIG PONOTEVICH (Jky T Kruger) raced wide from the 600mtr mark until entering the straight and finished a distant last.
ICY NIP (App K Treble) shifted ground approaching the home turn.

Race 4 CORNETT’S IGA E.F. KENT MEMORIAL HCP 1200MTRS
IMPORTED PRINCE was declared a late scratching at 1-00PM after receiving a telephone call from Trainer Mr D Gafa advising the horse had received injuries while attempting to load the horse on a float. Mr Gafa was instructed to give to Stewards a Vet Certificate before the horse can start again.
The winner FIRES OF IRELAND was swabbed.
Race 5 GAYNDAH MOTORS/L.J. HOOKER CLASS B HCP 1200HCP
Stewards accepted the reason given by the Trainer of ST. ARNOU Mr A Predron for the late declaration of a Jockey.
Jky D Gill was declared as the rider of ST. ARNOU.
CHUCKLING (App K Tremble) and SISTER OF NED (Jky T Kruger) were restless in the barriers
EARLSTOUN GRACE (Jky R Hancock) and SISTER OF NED (Jky T Kruger) were slowly away.
SISTER OF NED (Jky T Kruger) raced wide in the middle stage of the race.
