SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
Trainer Mrs. Carmel Richardson notified Stewards that her mare LADY IN FRONT - Race 1 was injured whilst being floated to today’s meeting. Once arriving on course a veterinary examination revealed the mare was not fit to race after being found lame in both hind legs. LADY IN FRONT was officially scratched at 12:30 pm by Stewards. Mrs. Richardson was advised a Veterinary Certificate would be required prior to the mare starting again. Mrs. Richardson advised stewards the mare would be spelled after today.
Race 1: BURNETT CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS BM65 HANDICAP 1000M.
OCTAVANUS - Slow to begin, from the 700m resented the kickback, shifted out abruptly bumping another runner.
I GET EXCITED - Bumped at the 700m and raced wide from that point.
SEQUALO’S SECRET - Hung out for the majority.
ME TOO FAST - On return to scale rider reported the mare felt sore. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
Race 2: GOLDEN ORANGE HOTEL MOTEL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000M
LAKE VICTORIA - Slow to begin.
MONTE CERVINO - Tightened for room on jumping away.
OUR MOLLY ROSE - Saddle slipped leaving the 800m, resulting in the filly not being able to be fully tested.
EVERINGHAM - Disappointed for a run at the 250m, was obliged to shift out across heels.
MISSING AT WAR - Lost a hind plate.
Jockey C. Spry was indisposed after riding in this event and was unable to fulfill his riding commitments on Dashing Young Love in Race 3, Aashiq in Race 4 and Rose Sofia in Race 5, riding changes were made as per the Stewards Summary Sheet. Jockey C. Spry was advised he would be required to provide a medical certificate.
Race 3: GRAND HOTEL CLASS B HANDICAP 1200M
BELLA BEIJING - Slow to begin.
INCOMING CALL - Held up for clear running from the 300m til the 100m.
LADY HORSEPOWER - Rider dropped whip at the 100m.
Race 4: KEN O”DOWD OPEN HANDICAP 1400M
JUST FOR KEEPS - Stood flat footed and was slow into stride.
AASHIQ - Slow to begin.
EMPEROR - Over raced from the 1100m til the 800m.
JUST FOR KEEPS - Trainer J. Devine was advised the gelding would be required to obtain a barrier certificate prior to its next race start.
Race 5: TOP CITRUS AND RIVERTON CITRUS CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1400M.
ROSE SOFIA - Was slow to begin.
NOTABITOFWHITE - Shifted out on jumping away, laid in under pressure over the final 200m.
