Passing the 1,000 metres PRINCE OF ALMS shifted in hampering CHARIOT’S AYLA and NEUTRALITY and this also resulted in QUEEN THE DIVINE which was following having to be steadied. L HILL (PRINCE OF ALMS) was advised to exercise more care.

When questioned regarding PRINCE OF ALMS being ridden forward today, Trainer P DUFF explained that the gelding had caused some concerns as to which way it would benefit PRINCE OF ALMS most, that is whether to ride the horse forward or back. He also indicated that PRINCE OF ALMS may be better suited in a race where there was more early speed and ridden back in the field. He added that he may experiment with a tongue tie on the horse also. Mr Duff was asked to ensure that he notify the stewards should there be any contrast in the manner in which PRINCE OF ALMS would be ridden in the future, as compared to today’s start.

RACE 8 –BRISBANE MARRIOTT WELTER – 1,300 METRES
