SUPPLEMENTARY:

As App T. Harrison was indisposed due to personal reasons stewards permitted rider replacements as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.

Race 1: Eximer Led Maiden H’Cap – 900m
1st – Threescoreandten 2nd – Roman Conflict 3rd – Active Star 4th – Walter

As App T. Wolfgram was overweight stewards permitted App J. Johnson to be substituted as the rider of SO SHARPLY. App Wolfgram was subsequently fined the sum of $100.00.

SO SHARPLY and HAVEN HOSTESS (M. Hellyer) were both slow to begin.

Near the 600m ROMAN CONFLICT (J. Morris) was crowded for room when tightened by THREESCOREANDTEN (M. Heagney), which shifted in slightly. M. Heagney the rider of THREESCOREANDTEN was advised to exercise more care.

WALTER (App R. Jamieson) commenced to hang out leaving the 400m resulting in the horse racing extremely wide rounding the home turn.

S. Drake the rider of ACTIVE STAR was reminded of her obligations to ride her mounts out right to the finish line.


Race 2: Alder Constructions Class 1 H’Cap – 1800m
1st – Main Street 2nd – Tips ‘N’ Tales 3rd – Classic Kitten 4th – Destars

No racing incidents.


Race 3: Kirra & Joel Curing Cystic Fibrosis QTIS 3YO H’Cap – 1800m
1st – Sovereign Spider 2nd – Greenwood Echo 3rd – Red Thriller 4th – Broadway Lass

Connections advised MAGIC IN ACTION which raced wide last start and compounded will be ridden quieter today if circumstances permit. After beginning well the horse settled in a forward position just behind the leader.

Connections of BROADWAY LASS (J. Morris) advised the horse will race more forward today if circumstances permit. The horse was ridden accordingly.

RED THRILLER (App J.K. Johnson) blundered at the start and lost considerable ground.

SOVEREIGN SPIDER (App A. Holt) began awkwardly and a short distance later was buffeted between GREENWOOD ECHO (App R. Jamieson) and PROUD WARRIOR (App B. Appo), both of which shifted ground.

Near the 1600m SPINNING HEART (S. Shield) was momentarily tightened when racing to the inside of DAYUAN (C. Whiteley), which shifted in slightly.

Rounding the 1400m turn GREENWOOD ECHO shifted out forcing PROUD WARRIOR wider. PROUD WARRIOR was then obliged to race wide for the remainder of the event.

RED THRILLER overraced during the early and middle stages of the event.

A post race veterinary examination of RED THRILLER revealed the filly had sustained lacerations to both hind legs as a result of being galloped on.


Race 4: Eximer Solar Maiden H’Cap – 1400m
1st – Destiny Road 2nd – Mock Me Not 3rd – Space Jam 4th – Hi Cody

NORTHERN LOGIC (App P. Schmidt) and ENCLOSURE (Michael Palmer) were both slow to begin.

THE DOMINATRIX (E. Kehoe) and SHOW YOU CARE (J. Morris) bumped on jumping away.

Near the 1200m WAR SCENE (Matthew Palmer) had to be steadied when MOCK ME NOT (S. Shield) shifted in when not sufficiently clear. At a subsequent inquiry S. Shield the rider of MOCK ME NOT was issued with a severe reprimand.

DESTINY ROAD (A. Holt) raced greenly in the home straight.

WAR SCENE, STARIANO (M. Hellyer) and THE DOMINATRIX all raced wide throughout.


Race 5: Banyan Trades Class 1 H’Cap – 1400m
1st – Kristrom 2nd – Play Luck 3rd – Carbon Taikun 4th – Reputed

As App M. Hayward was unable to claim his full allowance stewards permitted App R. Jamieson to be substituted as the rider of BEST OF MY LOVE. App Hayward was subsequently fined the sum of $200.00.

DOZING STAMPEDE (K. Wharton) was fractious at the start and got its head down resulting in the horse losing considerable ground.

Near the 1100m CARDS ‘N’ OWLS (App P. Schmidt) commenced to race fiercely and improved up onto the heels of PLAY LUCK (App J.K. Johnson) and shifted out, resulting in REPUTED (App T. Wolfgram) being forced wider at that point.

Leaving the 700m BEST OF MY LOVE was placed in restricted room when racing to the inside of PLAY LUCK, which shifted in slightly. App J.K. Johnson the rider of PLAY LUCK was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

Near the 600m SPIRIT OF AMBER (Matthew Palmer) was crowded for room by KRISTROM (App A. Holt) and in doing so shifted in making heavy contact with the running rail resulting in SPIRIT OF AMBER becoming unbalanced and losing ground. FREEROCKER (App B. Wallace) and CARBON TAIKUN (J. Morris) which were trailing were checked in this incident.

BEST OF MY LOVE had difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight and went to the line without being fully tested.


Race 6: All Trades Queensland Colts, Geldings & Entires Class 3 SW Plate – 1200m
1st – Pure Whisper 2nd – Courtz Boy 3rd – Eye Winsome 4th – Coz He Wants To

Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the reason why App B. Appo was dually engaged on both COUNTACH and COURTZ BOY in this event.

COUNTACH (C. Whiteley) was held up for a short distance rounding the home turn.

BIG KEN THE CELT (App C. Schmidt) raced wide throughout the event.

Race 7: Buildsafe Benchmark 90 H’Cap – 1200m
1st – Skating On Ice 2nd – Luke’s Luck 3rd – Lady Agulhas 4th – Mystical Grey

CASH ‘N’ STYLE (App P. Schmidt) began awkwardly and shifted in hampering LUKE’S LUCK (D. Hayse).

SPOT ON TARGET (C. Whiteley) overraced in the early stages of the event.

A post race veterinary examination of SPOT ON TARGET, which compounded in the home straight, revealed no significant abnormalities.

SKATING ON ICE (T. Treichel) raced wide throughout the event.


Race 8: Gold Coast Doorland Fillies & Mares Class 3 SW Plate – 1200m
1st – Jacquetta 2nd – Quizette 3rd – Let’s Party 4th – Britaila Kate

HERE’S TO YA (App T. Wolfgram) began awkwardly.

HERE’S TO YA overraced in the middle stages of the event.

Near the 300m GIFT OF THE DAY (App B. Appo) was tightened for room between HERE’S TO YA and LET’S PARTY (App R. Jamieson), which shifted out. At a subsequent inquiry App Jamieson was severely reprimanded.

BRITAILA KATE (Matthew Palmer), MOROCCAN DANCER (Michael Palmer) and ELLE MAJESTY (App C. Schmidt) all raced wide throughout the event.

Matthew Palmer the rider of BRITAILA KATE reported at scale that his mount was inclined to hang out throughout the event.
