GLADSTONE TURF CLUB STEWARDS REPORT

STEWARDS PANEL: Don Macklyn (chairman) J Wallis

WEATHER – Fine TRACK – Sand RAIL – True

RACE 1: Class 3 hcp 850 mtrs (5 starters)
Fine Mist (L Attard) was scratched @ 1:50 pm by stewards following veterinary advice after that horse took control of its rider and completed a lap of the track prior to the start. Stewards ordered all monies invested on Fine Mist to be refunded, and deductions of 19c on the face value of all win bets and 20c on the face value of all place bets before declaring correct weight.
Red Testa (M Goodwin) and Microslot (M Lehman) brushed soon after the start.

RACE 2: Class B hcp 1000 mtrs (8 starters)
At about the 500 mtrs Mr Know It All ( M Goodwin) shifted inwards slightly forcing Belltang (C Beets) to shift inwards resulting in Bombadil (J Stephens) having to steady off heels. Jockey M Goodwin was issued with a warning over the incident.

RACE 3: Maiden hcp 850 mtrs (10 starters)
Tariq’s Bluff (L Timson) and Prix D’Honneur (T Matherson) came together as the start was affected.

RACE 4: Open hcp 1000 mtrs (8 starters)
As a result of Mao’s Image (L Attard) jumping inwards and Athene’s Star (J Stephens) jumping awkwardly Western Pleasure (D Johnson) lost ground as the start was affected.

RACE 5: Class 2 hcp 1194 mtrs (7 starters)
No racing incidents to report.



ALL WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED WITH SAMPLES OBTAINED FORWARDED TO THE RACING SCIENCE CENTYRE FOR ANALYSIS.
