Race 1: Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race Class 1 Handicap- 850 metres
1st DUAN ALLIBAR 2nd STOCK MARKET 3rd GOD SHE’S RAUNCHY 4th- HIGH PAYOFF

When Jockey S. McGovern was to be overweight, Stewards permitted Jockey McGovern to ride GOD SHE’S RAUNCHY 1 kilogram over the allotted weight due to no other rider available. Jockey McGovern was fined $100 under A.R.120 (b).

When Jockey D Whitmore was to be overweight, Stewards permitted Jockey Whitmore to ride MISSY’S GOTTHECASH 1 kilogram over the allotted weight due to no other rider available. Jockey Whitmore was fined $100 under A.R.120 (b).

GEOCENTRIC (K Gates) jumped awkwardly and was slow away.

Approaching the 400m HIGH PAYOFF (J Babarovich) was inclined to lay in away from DUAN ALLIBAR (D Simmons).

Approximately the 300m HIGH PAYOFF lay in and was steadied from the heels of STOCK MARKET (T O’Hara).


Race 2: Lily Hair Class 5 Handicap- 1000 metres
1st HUNTING LODGE 2nd STARTOVA 3rd ZAHMAO 4th- EL CONDE

When Jockey D Whitmore was to be overweight, Stewards permitted Jockey Whitmore to ride NEVACANTEL 1 kilogram over the allotted weight due to no other rider available. Jockey Whitmore was fined $100 under A.R.120 (b).

LEFT BEHIND (C Pye) raced wide early.

ZAHMAO (T O’Hara) and HUNTING LODGE (D Simmons) raced wide throughout.

Race 3: Saltt Clothing QTIS Maiden Plate- 1000 metres
1st– FRENCH GARRISON 2nd – DR MORGUN 3rd CHATEAU’S BLOOMER 4th- PRINCESS FELICIA

HOODED DESTINY (K Gates) jumped out onto PRINCESS FELICIA (T O’Hara) which was inconvenienced and taken out onto BARCOLLA MAGIC (C Pye) which was checked and lost ground.

BARCOLLA MAGIC over raced in the early stages.

BARCOLLA MAGIC and EMOTIONALLY YOURS (A Taylor) both raced wide throughout.

Approaching the home turn HOODED DESTINY hung out and took TRUSTY GREY (C McIver) wide on the track. TRUSTY GREY was further hampered for the majority of the straight.

Apprentice K Gates reported that HOODED DESTINY’S saddle had shifted during this incidentt.

Stewards advised trainer M. Hassam that HOODED DESTINY must perform satisfactorily in a jump-out of at least 800m prior to being permitted to race again.


Race 4: Gladstone Harbour Festival Class 2 Handicap- 1194 metres
1st NOAH’S SMILE 2nd MAGPIE JACK 3rd CARRY THE MING 4th – MONASHEE EXPRESS

INALA ROYALE (C Pye) was slow away.

MAUVE LADY (K Gates), CARRY THE MING (T O’Hara) and NOAH’S SMILE (D Simmons) all raced wide.

Approaching the 300m MAGPIE JACK (B Derbyshire) commenced to lay out onto MAUVE LADY which was taken out onto NOAH’S SMILE which was restrained and shifted out.

Stewards advised trainer K Hill that MAGPIE JACK must perform satisfactorily in a jump-out of at least 800m prior to being permitted to race again.

Race 5: Greg McCann Memorial Open Handicap- 1194 metres
1st TEDDY BARE 2nd FRENARDI 3rd COLUMATE 4th- SNORKEL

HARDLY A GAME was examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon. Acting on her advice that the mare was lame in the near hind, stewards ordered the withdrawal of HARDLY A GAME at 2.28 p.m.

Trainer D Schultz was advised that he must provide a veterinary clearance prior to HARDLY A GAME being permitted to race again.

FALVELIZABETH (C Pye) was slow into stride.

Race 6: Treasury Casino and Hotel Class B Handicap- 1516 metres
1st WHO’S THE DUDE NOW 2nd ZIP ZIP GIRL 3rd LETHAL ROSE 4th- TOKYO BOB

Near the 600 metres and again approaching the home turn, TOKYO BOB (C Pye) commenced to lay out and made the turn awkwardly and shifted extrememly wide on the track. Stewards advised trainer W Melvin that TOKYO BOB must perform satisfactorily in a jump-out of at least 800m prior to being permitted to race again.
