Race 4: Toxfree Open Handicap- 850 metres
1st - BLAZE TO FORTUNE - 2nd - FRAHA - 3rd - FUNDIDO - 4th - MYSTERIOUS MAN

FRAHA - Sprawled on jumping.

DANA DANCER - Knuckled shortly after the start, resulting in its rider becoming unbalanced and momentarily losing use of the offside iron, which was quickly regathered. Raced wide throughout.

BASE JUMP - When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding the apprentice explained that he had been instructed to take up a forward position, however after beginning well he placed the gelding under pressure and it commenced to lose ground. He added that his mount then resented the sand kick-back from runners in front and the gelding lost further ground. The apprentice said that he rode the gelding along throughout the event but it failed to respond well at any stage. Trainer L. Kiernan confirmed that his instructions were to obtain a forward position behind the leader, given the speed of the race, however the gelding raced well below expectations and it was evident that it failed to respond to the efforts of its apprentice rider. He added that the quick back-up may have had some effect on the horse's performance. Stewards will seek a follow up report in the days following the event. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

Race 5: Williams Grader Hire BM 55 Handicap- 1517 metres
1st - SIALIA MAGIC - 2nd - COAL COMMAND - 3rd - TRACKER 4th - STREETFIRE

USURPER - Incurred a 1kg penalty following its winning performance at Yeppoon on 1st November 2014. Public announcements were made accordingly. Trainer P. Pengelly was reprimanded for the late declaration of Jockey J Stanley as rider. After all horses were loaded into the barriers, USURPER and PIPIT broke through, were quickly restrained, examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to take their place in the field. Following the race the rider reported that his mount began well and raced well in the early stages, however when crossed near the 1200 metres commenced to hang out, failed to travel comfortably and resented the sand kick-back from runners in front. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

MAGIC TWIST - After competing in Race 1, underwent a veterinary inspection, cleared to start. Began awkwardly.

SIALIA MAGIC - Raced wide throughout.

TRACKER - Raced wide throughout.

BELLESPY - Near the 1200 metres had to be eased when another rolled in and another rolled out.

PIPIT - Broke through barriers, restrained, examined by veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. Failed to finish race. Rider reported that he became concerned about the horse's action near the 600 metres and eased it out of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the horse was lame in the near foreleg. Trainer L Kiernan was advised that he must furnish a veterinary clearance prior to mare being permitted to race again.

ALL WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED
