GOONDIWINDI RACE CLUB STEWARDS REPORT SAT. 8.2.03

WEATHER – OVERCAST TRACK – DIRT RAIL – TRUE

RACE 1: HAYES & BAGULEY SPRAYING MAIDEN H'CAP – 900m

BORN A BRONCO was slowly away.

KOBANDILLA raced wide through out.

S Gaffaney the rider of HURRY HOME was forced to stop riding and straighten her mount, which was inclined to hang in over the concluding stages.

RACE 2: GOONDI MOWER & BEARINGS CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1000m

S Bayliss replaced J Baker as the rider of SPIRIT OF COOLONG as he was to be overweight.

LADY ARABELLA was slow to begin.

S Bayliss the rider of SPIRIT OF COOLONG was reprimanded for directing his mount out over the concluding stages when not sufficiently clear of VANITY FAIR, which was forced to check.

A protest was lodged by the rider of the third placegetter SPIRIT OF COOLONG against the second placegetter JEMABELLE alleging interference over the concluding stages. After taking evidence from both riders and viewing the patrol film the protest was dismissed. At a subsequent enquiry Jockey S Bayliss was fined the sum of $50 for lodging a frivolous objection.

RACE 3: MURPHY’S BLU BOY OPEN H'CAP – 1000m

INTERMANIA was slow to begin.

TOYSHANA began awkwardly.

LET FLY was slowly into stride and raced wide during the early and middle stages.
RACE 4: MICK & MURPH CLASS 4 H'CAP –1200m

Approaching the 1100m, BUSH POTENTIAL shifted in causing both LORD KWILA and PASSING TIME to be eased.

RACE 5: RUPERT MCCALLS BALLAD OF THE BLU BOY MAIDEN H'CAP – 1200m

As C Bryen was to be overweight J Starr replaced him as the rider of KWIGEBO.

SILK LINED was slowly into stride and raced awkwardly for the first 100m of the event.

KWIGEBO was slowly away.




ALL WINNERS WERE SWABBED.
