Race 1:NQ CERAMICS- HORIZON LODGE CLASS 5 HANDICAP Distance – 1100 M
1st - Shanghai Sultan 2nd-Caffe Di Clang 3rd-First Edition 4th-Momfasa

Rum Trifle (Kerry Rockett) reared just before the start.
Hellbound Lujain(Mark Dale) & First Edition (David Crossland)came together at the start.
At about the 800mtrs Hellbound Lujain (Mark Dale) began to hang out badly taking Mind The Money (Grant Lemos) out with it.
At an inquiry into the incident jockey Dale stated that when he took hold of the horse it began to race with its head in the air & started to hang out
The jockey also stated no other rider was to blame so stewards took no further action.

Race 2: WALTERS IGA /CHANNEL SEVEN CLASS B HANDICAP Distance – 1100 M
1st-Dragonisi 2nd - Indaskies 3rd-Éclair Filante 4th-Unterhaltung

The starter Mr Peter Kennedy reported to stewards that the power lead to the barriers became loose & that all horses were standing correctly so he released the field manually.
County Wilkes (Mark Dale) had to ease his mount at the 800mtrs due to insufficient racing room
Jockey (Ron Ryan) was kicked in the left knee while unsaddling his mount in the saddling enclosure he was attended by the ambulance paramedic & fulfilled his remaining rides.

Race 3: BJ PEACH CONSTRUCTIONS QTIS CLASS 2 HANDICAP Distance -1360 M
1st –Lucky Ruler 2nd- Julyenclairi 3rd –Snappy Cat 4th-Sweet Roxy
Sweet Roxy (Ian Toward) had to ease his mount 50 mtrs after the start because of insufficient racing room.
Apprentice jockey Katsuto Yoneyama was advised to use more care in future races.

Race 4: 2008 XXXX GOLD GORDONVALE CUP OPEN HANDICAP Distance -1360 M
1st-Nothin But a Dane 2nd- Tsar Coni 3rd- Pie Oh My 4th- Cheyenne

Jockey Mark Dale was the replacement rider for Tsar Coni as jockey David Crossland was overweight & at a subsequent hearing jockey Crossland was charged under rule AR120b & fined $50.
Pie Oh My (Grant Lemos) was slow into stride.

Race 5: MARINO MOLLER / HABLEDON MOTEL CLASS 3 HANDICAP Distance -1800 M
1st–She Makes Me Busy 2nd-Huckleberry 3rd- Bold Barassi 4th- She’s Supreme
At the barriers jockey (Ian Toward) asked for the vet to inspect his horse Evidence as he believed it to be lame. After a Vet inspection it was noticed by the vet that it appeared to be lame & was declared a late scratching by the vet Mr Williamson at 4:43 pm.
All bookmakers were advised to rule a line & that deductions on the race would be made after the event.
Stewards ordered deductions on the event would be 19 cents in the win & 20 cents in the place & that all money above the line on Evidence be refunded & correct weight was given.
