RACE 1 CLASS 1 HANDICAP – 1150 M (8 starters)

MIDNIGHT BULLET ridden by jockey A. Pattillo dwelt at the start.

AKAABER WARRIOR ridden by jockey C. Kearney jumped awkwardly and brushed NOISEY DAN ridden by jockey T. Brown.

WELSH PIPER ridden by jockey D. Van Bekkum shifted ground at the 850 metre mark inconveniencing AKAABER WARRIOR.

The winner AKAABER WARRIOR was swabbed (blood).

RACE 2 CLASS 4 HANDICAP – 1150M (7 starters)

SUMI PRINCESS ridden by jockey A. Pattillo was slowly away.

RACE 3 MAIDEN HANDICAP – 850M (8 starters)

Jockey V. Schweida contacted the club secretary on Saturday morning to report she was ill and would be unable to ride CANNINDAH ROAD. Jockey Schweida was instructed to obtain a Medical Certificate and to hand it to Stewards. Jockey T. Brown replaced jockey Schweida as the rider of CANNINDAH ROAD.

CLIFTON MAGIC ridden by apprentice jockey S. Richardson was slowly away.

CANNINDAH ROAD ridden by jockey T. Brown jumped awkwardly and bumped BREE’S ACE ridden by jockey M. Crawford.

Shortly after the start LADY CONJACK ridden by apprentice jockey D. Van Bekkum shifted momentarily inconveniencing BOUDICA ridden by jockey C. Kearney.

The winner JUST ALI was swabbed (blood).

RACE 4 OPEN HANDICAP – 850M (8 starters)

Trainer K. Hill was fined $25 under rule LR 70 for failing to declare a jockey for TOYSHANA by the declared time.

TOHESERA ridden by apprentice jockey H. O’Hara through its head up soon after the start and raced unkindly from the 750 metres to the 600 metre mark.

HUZZA ridden by jockey P. Lindeberg shifted in momentarily at the 700 metre mark inconveniencing TOYSHANA ridden by jockey T. Brown.

RACE 5 CLASS 2 HANDICAP – 1000M (8 starters)

GLASSY ridden by jockey C. Kearney reared in the barriers and lost its footing. GLASSY was inspected by the club vet Dr. Fisher and allowed to strt.
