RACE 1: Malpass Hotel QTIS Maiden PLATE 900M-
1st- KINGS ROAD 2nd- MAHOGANY MISS 3rd- LADY GRAND 4th- MONET MISS

MORE THAN CHARLIE (G. Kliese) and TRIVIAL (A. Dykes) made contact on jumping away.

Near the 800 metres IT’SFIVE SOMEWHERE (P. Cullen) was taken wider on the track when MONET MISS (S. Lanigan) and TOP DECISION (J. Felix) who were racing to its inside were also forced wider when LADY GRAND (S. Wilson) had a tendency to hang out.

Jockey S. Wilson reported that his mount LADY GRAND which was having its first start in a race, racing greenly throughout.



RACE 2: Liquor Legends Class B Handicap 1000M-
1ST- DIURNAL TIGER 2nd- HEART OF STRENGTH 3rd- RATSTAN 4th- MAINSHARFT

Subject to further submissions from trainer D. Symons Stewards imposed a $400 dollar fine for failing to scratch ELAY PRINCESS by the prescribed time. In assessing the matter Stewards took into account the failure to withdraw ELAY PRINCESS did cost an emergency the opportunity a start in the field and furthermore the scratching was only detected when ELAY PRINCESS failed to arrive on course.

Subsequently ELAY PRINCESS was declared a late scratching at 1:30pm. As betting had not commenced no deductions were required.

PACHAMAMA (G. Kliese) and BIGGS (A. Dykes) made contact on jumping away.

At the start PISMO BEACH reared striking its rider apprentice S. Cook in the face resulting PISMO BEACH lost ground.

PACHAMAMA (G. Klises) raced wide throughout.


RACE 3: Bill (Cody) Prizeman Memorial Trophy Open Handicap 1000M-
1ST- ORIENTELLE 2nd- JOHN’S SPECIAL 3rd- SUNSETS ON FIRE 4th- PEOPLE’S CHOICE

Apprentice E. Ljung the rider of SUNSETS ON FIRE was fined $100 for failing to claim here full allowance AR92 (12).

At the start QUEEN THYRA (A. Dykes) failed to muster any early speed.

RACE 4: Harvest Festival Class 6 Plate 1180M-
1st- KASA GOLD 2nd- ZEDI WARRIOR 3rd – TALCUM 4th –GALLANT HAWK

At the start ZANATUS (A. Lawrance) began awkwardly and as a result lost considerable ground.

Near the 1000 metres TALCUM (M. Elliott) shifted out and took KASA GOLD (P. Cullen) wider on the track.

A post- race veterinary examination of ZANATUS revealed the gelding to be lame in the off fore shoulder. Trainer D. Symons' stable representative was advised that the gelding would require a veterinary certificate of clearance before being permitted to start again.




RACE 5: Festival Queen’s Class 2 Handicap 1460M-
1ST-KERCHINGS 2nd-PROUD WARRIOR 3rd- BRANDY BEAU 4th-WRONG NUMBER

Jockey P Cullen was the repacement rider for MASTER INVADER as Jockey G. Kliese was unable to make the declared weight on that gelding. Jockey Kliese was issued with a repremand. When considering the matter Stewards took into account Jockey Kliese's exemplary record in relation to this rule. Stewards did however advise jockey Kliese that a monetary penalty would be imposed on future occasions.

SILVERZEN (S. Lanigan) was slow to begin.

At the start BRANDY BEAU (M. Elliott) and MASTER INVADER (P. Cullen) where both tightened for room between PROUD WARRIOR (A. Lawrance) and KERCHINGS (App E. Ljung) which shifted out.

Near the 800 metres KERCHINGS (App E. Ljung) was momentarily tightened for room by PROUD WARRIOR (A. Lawrance) which shifted in.

From nearing the 500 metres until the 300 metres KERCHINGS (App E. Ljung) was held up for clear running, at which point App. Ljung was able to shift KERCHINGS to the outside to obtain clear running.
