SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:
Prior to the commencement of racing , Bookmakers Peter Anderson and Gary Peoples were advised that the use of wireless internet equipment while betting is being carried out on a racetrack was a breach of AR160(c).Both Bookmakers were directed to disconnect and remove any such equipment and were Cautioned that any future use would result in their being charged with a breach of that rule.
Race 1: BALLARDS TPT/BARCALDINE CLEANING SERVS/WELLSHOT HOTEL MAIDEN PLATE 1000 METRES
1st – CALL MATILDA 2nd – NORTH WEST DANCER 3rd – RUN LIKE A DHEER 4th – BURRA ACTION
RUN LIKE A DEER (D. Hayse) struck it’s nose on the gate when leaving the barrier resulting in a minor cut to that area.
RUN LIKE A DEER tended to hang in the straight.
GOT THE POWER(C. Rogers) shifted outward on jumping.
EFFPEEVEE (C. Schumacher) was slow into stride.
Race 2: ILFRACOMBE PRODUCE/LYCEUM HOTEL QTIS CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1000 METRES
1st – SUPREME ASCOT 2nd - TWO SHINKO’S 3rd – ROCKING ON GOLD 4th – ZAMBUCCA MAGIC
GUMBO ( C. Schumacher.) was fidgety in the barrier.
A protest was lodged by Cheryl Rogers (ROCKING ON GOLD) judged 3rd. Against TWO SHINKO’S(app.J.Riordan) judged 2nd. For alleged interference in the straight was dismissed by stewards.
Stewards inquired into an incident at about the 900m where GUMBO (C. Schumacher) had to ease. Inquiry resulted in app. Toni Hall being Reprimanded to exercise more care while shifting in.
Race 3: BOWDENS SHEARING/SIMSTOCK RURAL AGENCIES/FLEXIEHIRE CLASS B HANDICAP 1200 METRES
1st – EIGHTDAN 2nd – MISS SEMI 3rd – TORNEDO LAD 4th – JON ROBIE
EIGHTHDAN (C.Rogers) tended to hang in at about the 150M.
Race 4: O’BRIENS GARAGE & SUFFREN EARTHMOVING CLASS 5 HANDICAP 1200 METRES
1st – BILLIGABOO 2nd – I’M A SEQUALO 3rd – KING’S BEAUTY 4th - ROUGHRIDING
