RACE 1 MAIDEN HANDICAP 1000 METRES 6 STARTERS
BOWEN’S TORNADO brushed the running rail near 200 metre mark of it’s own accord. QUICK LOVE shifted in under pressure and contacted C’MON LARI Near 100 metre mark, Rider R Gallacher stopped riding and straightened his mount.

RACE 2 CLASS 3 HANDICAP 1200 METRES 8 STARTERS
Rider of CORAL CRUISE, C Clarke was questioned on his whip action over the concluding stages as it appeared the gelding was struck on more than one occasion forward to the shoulder. After interviewing Jockey C Clarke, Stewards observations and Video Film, Stewards gave Clarke the benefit of the doubt and informed same incorrect use of the whip is an offence under the rules and a warning issued

RACE 3 OPEN HANDICAP 1200 METRES 7 STARTERS
As the start was effected, HORSE PLAY moved backward onto the rear gate and lose considerable ground. Photo finish failed to operate, Stewards agreed with Judges decision.

RACE 4 CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200 METRES 7 STARTERS
No Incidents.

RACE 5 CLASS 5 HANDICAP 900 METRES 7 STARTERS
KING CITY and FOR LOVE came together 100 metres after the start when FOR LOVE out slightly On returning to scale, KING CITY was found to have a small puncture mark to the off fore cannon. No other incidents.

All winners sent to be swabbed.

GENERAL: Second hand information from Jockey S Hetherington suggested he was incapacitated and unable to fulfil his riding engagements. A medical clearance will be required before riding again.
Veterinary Surgeon I Merritt, reported to Stewards that PARIS PEARL, winner of Race 2, became agitated and in his opinion was likely to strike, therefore he ceased his effort to obtain a swab sample.
