INNISFAIL TURFCLUB STEWARDS REPORT SATURDAY 27/09/2003

STEWARDS PANEL:

WEATHER – TRACK:- RAIL –

RACE 1: Incitec Privest Class b Handicap 1100 metres
Starters 9
Dante Devine (J.Dickinson) and Magic Fall (K Penrose) made contact as the gates opened. Legarno Lady (I. Toward) inconvenienced Dante Devine approaching the 1000 metres when crossing to the fence. Craigie Again (K Mahoney) reported his mount wanted to hang out during the race. Dante Devine rider reported losing his whip about 150 metres from the finish line.

RACE 2: Les Spry 100th Birthday Maiden Plate 1200 metres
Starters 7
Theatre King (K Mahoney) reported making contact with stall gates, causing his mount to jump outward onto Doodle Daddle (G Kliese) who over raced until 600 metres. Star Heart ( A. Merritt) was fractious to the gates opening.

RACE 3: Mirriwinni Lime Class 6 Plate 1200 metres
Starters 10
Jockey J . Dickinson replaced jockey F Edwards on Arkillion when he was unable to make the allotted weight. Raid Force (I. Toward) jumped in as the gates opened and made heavy contact with Melt The Gun (R. Ryan). Rebel Rebel rider K Mahoney reported making contact with the stall gates when the barriers opened.

RACE 4: Innisfail Fish Depot Class 3 Plate 1500 metres
Starters 5
King Cocky (G. Porter) after reaching the lead approaching the 1200 metres wanted to over race when the rider tried to slow the pace.

RACE 5: Frank Lowe Open Handicap 1500 metres
Starters 8
Charlie Horse (A. Molino) was slow away as the gates opened. An enquiry into an Incident during the running of the race was adjourned until a later date, when one of the riders involved was unavailable.
