General – The stewards, under the powers of A.R. R. 8(a) amended the distance of Race 2 to 1100m., due to the absence of facilities to remove the starting stalls off the track after affecting a start at the 1000m. position. All trainers were advised and given the opportunity to scratch if desired.
No print or monitor image was available for the results of races 1, 2 and 5 possible due to surges in the power supply
Jockey D Crossland reported that he was indisposed and was unable to fulfil his riding commitments.
Race 1 Innisfail Turf Club Class 3 Plate. Distance :- 900m.
1st Khitobai 2 nd You’re So Dane 3rd – What Happened 4th- Langalah.
K Brady replaced D Crossland as rider of Cape Rocket. Khitobai (Ms P D’addona) hung out negotiating the home turn.
Race 2 – Lamana Banana Class 6 Plate Distance :-.1100m.
1st - Fideism 2nd - Silverstein 3rd - Affected 4th-. Crafty’s Brother
Gold Card (Ms P Edwards) ran wide negotiating the home turn and raced wide on the track for the remainder of the race
Race 3 Spagnola Bananas Maiden Plate Distance :- 1100m.
1st - Akowe 2nd - Young Dub 3rd Dance the Tango 4th-.No Quick Fix
I Toward replaced D Crossland as rider of Akowe. Young Dub ( J Dickinson) left the starting stalls with it’s head in the air and attempted to buck. Aitch To Oh (Ms P Edwards) drifted out in the straight.
Race 4: Tropicana Banana Class ‘B’ Handicap Distance:- 1200m.
1st.Prince Challenger 2nd - Halo To Heaven 3rd Off The List 4th-Robin The Hood
Robin The Hood (F Edwards) was slow to leave the starting stalls, When the gates opened Princess Lesia (I Toward) jumped out making contact with Brassanova (P Cullen) at the same time that Halo To Heaven (G Cullen) moved in on to the same horse. In recovering both Princess Lesia and Halo to heaven became unbalanced. After travelling about 100 metres Our Southern Star (Ms. D Armstrong) which was making up ground moved across from a outside position, Halo to Heaven which was racing erratically moved away from that horse putting pressure on Princess Lesia which shifted across the run of Edinburgh (Ms. P D’addona). Edinburgh and Princess Lesia were both inconvenienced. In the opinion of the stewards the three incidents were related and no one horse or rider could be held responsible

Race 5 - A B D Bananas Class 4 Handicap. Distance – 1500m.
1st. Bye Bye Diamonds 2nd Ballinspittle 3rd. Emmbowen 4th- Fremantle Doctor
Ballinspittle (J Dickinson) was slow to leave the starting stalls.
Race 6 Moraitis Cup Open Handicap. Distance :- 1800m.
1st.Magritte 2nd.Selling Strides 3rd. Don’t Worry 4th.Water Buffalo
K Rocket replaced D Crossland as rider of Magritte. As the gates opened Water Buffalo (C Pays) jumped outwards making contact with Eye Gee Aye ( J Stopps)
