Race 1: Subloo's Class B Handicap - 900 metres
1st – RECONCILIATION 2nd BAZZA'S BID 3rd LADY FOXY 4th - YOUR WAY OR MINE

YOUR WAY OR MINE - When Jockey S. Wilson was late arriving on course due to transport difficulties, and no senior rider was available, stewards permitted App. S. Wiseman to be substituted. Whilst parading in the enclosure App. Wiseman was kicked by her mount. App. Wiseman was examined by the ambulance officers and cleared to fulfil her ride.

MY MATE NATE - Became fractious in the barriers, was removed from the barriers and examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon. Acting on veterinary advice stewards ordered the withdrawal of the gelding at 1.25 p.m. Subsequently stewards ordered that all bets made on MY MATE NATE be refunded in full and that the following deductions apply: 7 cents in the win and 8 cents in the place on the face value of all winning tickets.
Trainer S. Cooper was advised that the gelding must obtain 2 barrier certificates before being permitted to race again.

MONET MISS - Upon returning to scale the rider reported that his mount failed to handle the firm track conditions.

Race 2: Telsat Services BM75 Handicap - 900 metres
1st LYNDA'S NEVER LATE 2nd HE'S A LADIES MAN 3rd PANECILLO 4th - STIEG

BESIEGED - Knuckled shortly after the start and lost considerable ground (3 lengths).

CANHEDANCE - Had a tendency to hang out rounding the home turn.

Race 3: CCRC Maiden Plate - 1200 metres
1st – GARDEN CITY 2nd DRAGON HART 3rd LEGENDARY PLUME 4th - KING OF THEBES

SILVER STAR - Knuckled shortly after the start.

KING OF THEBES - Raced wide throughout.

LEGENDARY PLUME - Over-raced in the middle stages and raced wide throughout the event.

OLD MAMA CAS - Rider dislodged in the mounting yard, examined by ambulance officers and cleared to fulfil her engagement. Raced wide throughout.

Race 4: - Collins Catering Benchmark 65 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st GLADIUS 2nd - MAL'S PRIDE 3rd ROSE OF CLARE 4th – STRICTLY MAGIC

DIVA DIOR - Slow to begin.

GLADIUS - Slow to begin.

MAL'S PRIDE - Rider questioned regarding the tactics adopted, in particular rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight, Jockey F. Edwards stated that approaching the home turn he placed the gelding under pressure in an endeavour to follow STRICTLY MAGIC into the race, however as the gelding was traveling only fairly he was unable to do so. Jockey Edwards further added that after continuing to ride his mount along when entering the home straight the gelding improved quickly into the race forcing him to shift to the inside where he obtain a run between MOCKBA and ARONSON. He further added that the gelding finished the race off well. Stewards noted the riders comments.

Race 5: Norm Stewart Electrical Class 1 Handicap - 1500 metres
1st SPIN AGAIN 2nd - FRUMBOLI 3rd SINGCIELO 4th - SAVE THE PLANET

SAVE THE PLANET - Slow to begin then over-raced in the early stages. Rider reported that his mount failed to handle today's firm track conditions.

HUSSELING - Slow to begin.
