RACE 1: SANDY GALLOP GOLF CLUB H'CAP - 1025M.
Trainer J. Atkins was fined $50 for nominating GOLDEN PLANET for this particular race for which it was found to be ineligible.
HOLY DUCHESS was slowly away.
Leaving the 800m., OUR JAVELIN commenced to overrace and shifted out, making contact with SCALATRICE, which forced BOLD YEATS wider on the track. This also resulted in HE DARES TO, which was following, having to be restrained for some distance to avoid the heels of OUR JAVELIN.
The trainer of OUR JAVELIN, Mr T. Dobbe, was advised that the nomination for that colt would be refused at TAB meetings until such time as its form improves.
BOLD YEATS lost its off hind plate during the running of the race.
RACE 2: BROTHERS LEAGUES CLUB H'CAP - 1025M.
As S. Katsidis was to be overweight, L. Harris was substituted as the rider of LA BIAGGI. S. Katsidis was fined $50.
Trainers P. Strong (ATLANTA FLYER) and T. Katip (MISS LANE) were each fined $50 for failing to notify a gear changes for their respective horses.

On jumping away, SAHARA DIGGER was crowded for room between GALLISSA and OSPREY DRIVE, which shifted in.
SEANSKI shifted in at the start and made contact with MISS LANE and as a result M. Bennett, rider of SEANSKI, lost the use of his off-side stirrup iron for a short distance.
S. Seamer (LAUNCESTON) explained that for some distance leaving the 800m. his mount was reluctant to race tight inside other runners, and near the 700m. brushed the running rail and had to be checked of its own accord.
RACE 3: RSL SERVICES CLUB H'CAP - 1200M.
SHORT RUN was slow to begin.
DUGCARO jumped awkwardly and made contact with CITYKAT.
For the major part of the straight, CLEAR RUN was unable to obtain clear running.
RACE 4: IPSWICH GOLF CLUB H'CAP - 1200M.
As C. Reith was delayed in traffic, he was subsequently substituted by M. Carson as the rider of KUMI.
CIRCLE OF WHITE, CARERA and KUMI were slow to begin.
Near the 500m., CARERA had to be checked to avoid the heels of PARTICIPANT.
Apprentice T. Hill (EARL'S MEMORY) was reminded of his obligations when using his whip to excess when his mounts are out of contention.
RACE 5: JET'S RUGBY LEAGUE H'CAP - 1200M.
VISLANDA and ARROGANT QUEEN were slow to begin.
For a short distance after the start, ROI FOR GOLD shifted in and made contact with COMPLIANT on several occasions.
Near the 700m., VOELFORD became unbalanced after shifting out and making contact with the hind quarters of COMPLIANT.
RACE 6:UNITED SERVICES BOWLS CLUB H'CAP - 1100M.
As J. Taylor was indisposed, K. Pope was substituted as the rider of DUMERIC.
JENAE JETAE jumped away awkwardly.
Shortly after the start, TANNER'S TWIST shifted in and bumped DUMERIC.
LOOK TO SEA raced very wide throughout the event.
S. Seamer (TANNER'S TWIST) was reminded of his obligations to ensure his mounts are ridden to the winning post at least hands and heels.
RACE 7: IPSWICH KNIGHTS SOCCER CLUB H'CAP - 1100M.
MAJUBA and CHARAME were slow to begin.
Rounding the home turn, FOOLING made contact with the running rail, resulting in AMEDEO shifting out, tightening the running of CHARAME.
J. Powell, rider of FOOLING, was fined $50 for returning to scale in excess of half a kilogram over his declared weight.
RACE 8: MUSKETEERS BASEBALL CUB H'CAP - 1350M.
Trainer L. Erhart was fined $50 for nominating CHARMING DOUBLE for this event when it was found to be ineligible.
As C. Schumacher was to be overweight, A. Erhart was substituted as the rider of JUSTIN. C. Schumacher was fined $50.
INITIATIVES was slow to begin, and shortly after was hampered when IT'S OFFICIAL shifted out and GREY RAMA shifted in.
When questioned regarding the performance of THE STIRRER today, jockey D. Spriggs exlained that his mount was not the best to jump and took some distance to gather momentum. He added that near the 600m. when racing between INIATIVES and ROKEBY TERRACE that his mount clipped the heels of ROKEBY TERRACE and blundered after that horse shifted out slightly when hanging. He further added that from this point, he was unable to improve when held up behind several horses until near the 200m..
