WEATHER - FINE TRACK - GOOD RAIL - 4M. ALL TRACK


RACE 1: WORKFORCE FINANCIAL SERVICE H'CAP - 2150M.

SEMI JEWEL was inclined to hang in throughout the race.


RACE 2: ALLAN FITZSIMMONS REALITY H'CAP - 1000M.

DANLO began awkwardly.

Rounding the home turn, PEDRO AND LES was inclined to hang out.


RACE 3: CENTRAL/WESTERN DISTRIBUTION SERVICES H'CAP - 1500M.

On jumping away, BOOLIGAR was hampered between GUILTY JOKER, which jumped outwards, and REBEL CHIEF, which was taken in by PEKAY PETE.

NOBLE DISTINCTION and OBERNUDIUS were slow to begin.

Approaching the 600m., BOOLIGAR shifted out and made contact with WHITE RAJA, forcing that runner wider on the track.

Rounding the home turn, BUGS was momentarily tightened for room between PEDRO'S SUPREME and PEKAY PETE, which shifted in.

From after passing the 200m., MOSES was hampered between WHITE RAJA and BOOIGAR, both of which shifted ground.


RACE 4: C S ENERGY - SWANBANK POWER STATION H'CAP - 1500M.

Approaching the 400m., MISS BOUNTIFUL had to be checked after improving up on to the heels of LA GUARDIA.

A veterinary examination of MANITOBA MUSIC, which finished a distant last, revealed the filly to be acutely shin sore.

The club's veterinary surgeon reported that FACE PAINT was suffering from a stress condition (thumps) following the event.




RACE 5: ELECTRICITY CREDIT UNION H'CAP - 1200M.

MISS SMUGG and ISLE OF EASE were slow to begin..

MISS SMUGG blundered near the 800m..

In the early stages of the straight, IN CONTROL was held up for clear running.


RACE 6: ENERGEX ASSET SERVICES H'CAP - 1350M.

As M. Cahill was to be overweight, J. Taylor was substituted as the rider of FONTINA. M. Cahill was fined the sum of $200.

LEE SHORE and QUICK PRINCE were slow to begin.

LET'S RAW jumped outwards at the start, making contact with MRS. COSGROVE.

A short distance later, BROPHY shifted out, making contact with LET'S RAW.

Near the 1000m., LET'S RAW had to be steadied to avoid the heels of IMPOSITION, which shifted in.

Approaching the 600m., QUICK PRINCE had to be steadied to avoid the heels of LET'S RAW, which shifted out slightly.

IMPOSITION was inclined to lay in under pressure over the concluding stages.

Apprentice M. Dracos, rider of QUICK PRINCE, was fined $100 for excessive use of the whip on a horse out of contention.



RACE 7: A J TOUHEY H'CAP - 1200M.

Apprentice M. Kawaguchi was fined $50 for failing to claim his full allowance on JEWEL OF THE NIGHT.

KIWI BONUS was slow to begin.

GLITTERING AFFAIR overraced in the early and middle stages.

Rounding the home turn, NOTHING BUT DUST shifted out, taking GLITTERING AFFAIR out on to PHYLSON.

KIWI BONUS, which broke down in its near fore leg inside the 200m., was euthanased on humane grounds.





RACE 8: POWERLINK H'CAP - 1666M.

Due to transport difficulties, L. Deguara replaced J. Hoopert as the rider of ROJAH VIVIAN.

BIG TIME DANCER and SHAREEF ROCKET were slow to begin.

RIVER PRINCE was inclined to overrace in the early stages.

ALL WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED.
