WEATHER - FINE TRACK - GOOD RAIL - 4M. ALL TRACK


RACE 1: YALUMBA H'CAP - 2150M.

J. Byrne reported that the saddle on MISS TIFFANY shifted back shortly after the start.

J. Byrne, rider of MISS TIFFANY, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding, in that he allowed his mount to shift in under pressure over the concluding stages, taking CYCLONIC LIGHT in on to the hind quarters of LITTLE KATERI, resulting in CYCLONIC LIGHT being checked and LITTLE KATERI being hampered. J. Byrne was suspended from riding in races for a period covered by 6 meetings, to commence at midnight, 1 January 2001, to expire at midnight, 10 January 2002.


RACE 2: FESTIVE SEASON H'CAP - 1666M.

GARDYLO, I'M A CRACKER and YOMNA were all hampered on jumping away between SNOOPS and HUTTON, both of which shifted ground.

Over the concluding stages, S. Shield, rider of HUTTON, was accidentally struck on the right arm by the whip of S. McLean, rider of JUST MACCA.


RACE 3:SUMMER STAYING SERIES SUPER QRIS ADDED STAKES H'CAP - 1666M.

EBONY HALO jumped away awkwardly.

EBONY HALO was inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight.


RACE 4: NETWORK VIDEO - BOOVAL H'CAP - 1100M.

Due to transport difficulties, A. Gillett was unable to fulfil his engagement on BANDINELLA and was replaced by K. Bell.

Trainer R. Heathcote was fined $50 for failing to declare a rider for FEMOUCHE by the prescribed time.

CROAT RED shifted outwards at the start, hampering MONTEAL BEAU.

BODY BOARD jumped away awkwardly, resulting in J. Byrne striking his leg on the barrier partition. Shortly after, BODY BOARD had to be steadied to avoid the heels of DEFINITE DECISION.

At the 400m., FEMOUCHE shifted out and made contact with CRAIGLEA GREENE, causing PROVINCE to be forced wider on the track.

FEMOUCHE shifted in near the 400m., resulting in STAR OF SNIPPETS having to be steadied. S. Katsidis, rider of FEMOUCHE, was reprimanded and advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.

Rounding the home turn, BODY BOARD had to be steadied to avoid the heels of STAR OF SNIPPETS and shifted out, taking AMBER CORINNE wider on the track.

Shortly after entering the straight, BODY BOARD had to be steadied when disappointed for a run between PROVINCE and MATHEW JAMES.

STAY GOLD, which bled during the event for the second time, will incur a lifetime bar from racing under AR 53A.


RACE 5: IPSWICH CITY SQUARE H'CAP - 1100M.

Trainer S. Dwyer was fined $50 for failing to declare a rider for HIDDEN SAVINGS by the prescribed time.

At the request of M. Cahill, EMERALD DANE was examined by the club's veterinary surgeon at the barriers and passed fit to start.

SUKECHE was slow to begin.

FOUNTAINE BAY jumped outwards at the start, making contact with PRICKLES.

TELAVON shifted inwards at the start, inconveniencing UNION BOY, which was slow to begin.

Near the 400m., HIDDEN SAVINGS had to be checked to avoid the heels of STREAM GUL, which shifted in whilst tiring.

DA VANTI was to hang out throughout the event. Trainer B. Brown was advised that a warning was being placed on the gelding.


RACE 6: XXXX H'CAP - 1500M.

S. Shield was examined by the club's doctor after riding in race 2 and stood down from his engagement on ROYAL ASSASSIN. J. Pollard was substituted as the rider of that gelding.

MISTER SQUEALER was slow to begin.

ARCTIC RED raced ungenerously throughout the event, and near the 800m. shifted in and brushed the running rail, then shifted out abruptly, hampering MISTER SQUEALER.

Near the 50m., MISTER SQUEALER was accidentally struck over the head by the whip of R. Goltz, rider of LADY IMOLA.


RACE 7: SCHWEPPES H'CAP - 1200M.

RACE 8: FAREWELL 2001 H'CAP - 1100M.

ASHELL jumped inwards at the start, making contact with REGAL SIGN

Approaching the first turn, FIRE OF HEAVEN had to be steadied to avoid the heels of HUSSAR'S HOPE, which shifted in.

After leaving the 700m., VIROSCO and IMPERIAL HEART had to be restrained off heels.

Near the 600m., MISCHA shifted in and made contact with the running rail and became unbalanced and shifted out, hampering IMPERIAL HEART.

At the 400m., CLAPPER shifted out to avoid the heels of the tiring LORD GEIGER and in doing so made contact with FIRE OF HEAVEN, which in turn shifted out and made contact with HUSSAR'S HOPE.

CAN'T TACKLE was unable to obtain clear running from inside the 200m..

Over the concluding stages, S. Galloway was obliged to stop riding CLAPPER, which shifted in under pressure.

FOSTER was forced to race wide throughout.


ALL WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED.
