WEATHER - FINE TRACK - GOOD RAIL - TRUE POSITION


RACE 1: SKY CHANNEL H'CAP - 1200M.

CHERRY CHASER was slow to begin.

Near the 200m., CHERRY CHASER was disappointed for a run between HURCZ and FIREFOOT REGAL.

Leaving the 200m., STUCK FAST shifted out and bumped the tiring FIREFOOT REGAL.


RACE 2: SKYCHANNEL.COM.AU H'CAP - 1200M.

Apprentice D. Ballard was fined $100 for failing to claim his full allowance on JHANSI KI RANI and STUCK FAST (Race 1).

LIGHTNING ROUGE lashed out and then reared in the barriers as the start was effected, losing considerable ground. Trainer S. Hunter was advised that he would be required to provide a barrier certificate for LIGHTNING ROUGE prior to its next race start.

Approaching the 200m., after shifting out, AWESOME SHADOW was disappointed for a run between INSTANT MONEY and CITY ROSE, which shifted out.

INSTANT MONEY was obliged to race wide throughout.


RACE 3: SKY CHANNEL'S HOME SERVICE H'CAP - 1100M.

CAN HE HULA jumped awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, STACKER shifted in and made heavy contact with the hind quarters of ALL BROWN.

Y. Yamazaki, rider of PETERKIN, was reprimanded for displaying insufficient effort to prevent his mount from shifting in near the 450m., which resulted in TIGERMAN MCCOOL and WHISPERING SMITH having to be steadied when tightened for room.

STACKER raced greenly throughout.

PETERKIN lost its off hind plate in running.


RACE 4: SCHWEPPES LEMONADE H'CAP - 1100M.

As D. Tanti was indisposed, M. Carson was substituted as the rider of FAITH IN A FLASH, and S. Shield as the rider of LLABINA (Race 6).

Approaching the 700m., PAINTBRUSH, which raced greenly throughout, shifted out and away from LA CHARRIERE and tightened the running of DAD'S SECRET, which had to be steadied.

Over the concluding stages, PAINTBRUSH was inclined to shift out under pressure, hampering AFFECTIONS.

EAGLE EYE and DAD'S SECRET both lost off hind plates in running.

A veterinary examination of KIERANCA following the event revealed the mare to be suffering from mild lameness in the off hind leg.


RACE 5: XXXX H'CAP - 1666M.

Due to a starting stall malfunction, several gates failed to open. COSMIC COMET, REAL IMPRESSIVE and LORD MAPLE, whose gates did open, travelled a short distance before being restrained and returned to the barriers. All 3 horses underwent a veterinary examination and were passed fit to start. The start was further delayed to allow a number of checks to be performed on the barrier starting mechanism.

Soon after straightening, COSMIC COMET shifted out to obtain clear running, taking OUT CRUISING and BARESQUE wider on the track.

A post race veterinary examination of REAL IMPRESSIVE revealed the gelding to be showing mild lameness in the off fore leg.


RACE 6: EYE LINER FUNCTION LOUNGE H'CAP - 1350M.

ADMIRAL'S AFFAIR was a late scratching at 2.43 p.m. on veterinary advice when the filly was found to be lame in the near fore leg.

POPPATOP was very slow to begin and lost considerable ground at the start.

Soon after the start, BURNLINE put in an awkward stride and then faltered near the 400m..

POPPATOP struck the running rail near the 700m..

Approaching the home turn, POPPATOP raced ungenerously for a short distance and became unbalanced.

MAULER was held up for clear running rounding the home turn and until after leaving the 200m..

Approaching the 200m., WITH PRUDENCE had to be eased to avoid the heels of HOLOGRAPHIC, which shifted out to improve around the heels of WELCOME NEDIYM, which also shifted out slightly.

LLABINA was obliged to race wide for the majority of the race.

RACE 7: RACEDAY FUNCTIONS AT THE TRACKSIDE LOUNGE H'CAP - 1350M.

TUDOR QUEST jumped away awkwardly.

A GUINEA jumped outwards at the start and bumped ST. CHANDON.
RACE 8: GO THE WALLABIES H'CAP - 1350M.

A post-race veterinary examination of ARROWSWEEP revealed this colt to be suffering a laceration to its near hind fetlock.

BARRACK and MR MONEYMAKER jumped awkwardly.

SPECULATING jumped outwards at the start, crowding BOUNDARIES and KINETIC KING on to UNATTAINABLE.

NOBLE DELL was slow to begin.

Approaching the 800m., MR. MONEYMAKER commenced to overrace and had to be steadied off the heels of SPECULATING. UNATTAINABLE, which was following, was obliged to shift out to avoid the heels of MR. MONEYMAKER, tightening KINETIC KING on to VOYEUR.

CHARLOTTE SOUND had to be steadied approaching the 200m. when attempting to take a run between PARITA BEACH and EESSPEE, which shifted in.

For a short distance passing the 200m., ADMIRAL'S COMMAND was held up for clear running.

MR. MONEYMAKER was unable to obtain clear running over the concluding stages.

ARROWSWEEP lost its near hind plate in running.



ALL WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED.
