RACE 2: SKY CHANNEL COLTS, GELDINGS AND ENTIRES MAIDEN H'CAP - 1350M.

MONCHERO jumped away awkwardly.

CHARZIG blundered on jumping away.

Shortly after the start, ALPHA FRATE raced in restricted room between MONCHERO and SILVER DODGE, which shifted in.

JAR JAR DANE, which finished last, was examined by the club's veterinary surgeon and found to be in a distressed condition. A swab sample was taken from JAR JAR DANE.

Z. Purton was reprimanded for failing to weigh in 5th on NOTHIN LEICA DREAM.

RACE 3: SCHWEPPES FILLIES AND MARES MAIDEN H'CAP - 1350M.

On return to scale a protest was lodged by A. Erhart, rider of the 3rd placegetter, ANNIE THE BRAVE, against LOVERS being declared the winner, alleging interference over the concluding stages. Whilst it was acknowledged that LOVERS had shifted ground close to the finish line, making contact with ANNIE THE BRAVE, stewards were not of the opinion that the interference warranted a reversal of placings bearing in mind the close proximity of the interference to the winning post. The protest was therefore dismissed and Judge's placings confirmed. In this incident, ANNIE THE BRAVE, when taken out, made contact with TYCOON PENNY.

KEAVE HOUSE jumped away awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, MISS TAI shifted out and made contact with TYCOON PENNY.

At the same stage, TENETS had to be steadied off the heels of SPICY GAL and then shifted out, making contact with FINAL JOURNEY.

RACE 5: SKY CHANNEL HOME SERVICE QRSE MAIDEN PLATE (1) - 1100M.

SPEED MISS was obliged to race wide in the early and middle stages.

Passing the 800m., GOLD AND VORTEX (K. Cunningham), when racing ungenerously, improved between RIGHT SPICE and MAVOURNIN, resulting in GOLD AND VORTEX clipping heels and dislodging K. Cunningham. At a subsequent inquiry, stewards established that the racing manners of GOLD AND VORTEX were solely responsible for the incident.

Nearing the 600m., CRAIGLEA WARRIOR, when racing between FAIR'S FAIR and the riderless horse, had to be checked and dipped when the riderless horse shifted away from the fence.

Approaching the home turn, OUR REGAL GREY, which was racing to the outside of the riderless GOLD AND VORTEX, had to be steadied when that horse veered off the track.
