SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS
Stewards accepted Jockey P Wolfgram’s explanation re his failure to fulfil an engagement at the Toowoomba Turf Club meeting on 1 April 2006.
RACE 1: SKY CHANNEL PLATE 2-Y-O MAIDEN 1010M.
GOTTA GIVE was slow away.
STRONG CAPER jumped awkwardly making contact with LOOKOUT KWILA.
REQUEST THIS jumped awkwardly.
REQUEST THIS rolled out at the 900 making contact with and hampered PRANCY NANCY.
WANT TO BREAK FREE rolled in on the home turn hampering PARADISE SPIRIT.
Jockey K Banks (SWEET JOSESHEE) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding when her mount shifted in near the 300m when insufficiently clear of PARADISE SPIRIT which had to be checked. Jockey K Banks was suspended from riding in races from midnight 8/4/06 up to and including 21/4/06 a period of 7 meetings.
Time off 1.10 PM.
RACE 2: SOUTHERN QUEENSLAND STEEL CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1010M.
HADEYAH underwent a veterinary examination prior to the race and was declared fit to run.
HADEYAH jumped out making contact with JAZZY’S PRIDE.
ZAMBACCA MAGIC jumped out hampering FIRE A WARNING which was slow into stride.
FIRE A WARNING dipped at the 800m and returned to scale lame in the off-fore leg. Following a veterinary examination it was found to have bowed a tendon and was broken down. Connections were advised that a veterinary certificate would be required prior to its next start.
SEQUATE was held up rounding the home turn behind WHISPERING GYPSY which had to eased of the heels of JAZZY’S PRIDE which shifted out under pressure near the 250m.
HADEYAH which finished a disappointing last underwent a Veterinary examination which found no abnormalities. When Stewards questioned trainer S Dewick he said the horse did not travel well that why he requested a veterinary examination prior to the race, he also felt the colt had been in work for over 12 months and he would be spelled immediately. Explanation noted.

RACE 3: QUEENSLAND TIMES MAIDEN HANDICAP - 1100M.
KAKISAYA BOLEHLARI was difficult to load causing a delay. Connections were advised the gelding must pass an official barrier trial prior to its next start.
WISHING WIND reared whilst in the gates momentarily being caught up. Underwent a veterinary examination and was declared fit to race.
SUNNY CHARIOT, HELL and COLD SWEET were all slow away.
GLASS SHOES jumped out making contact with KAKISAYA BOLEHLARI.
BEAU FOREST hung out rounding the 800m turn hampering CRAZY MAIZY.
SEQUEL SCENE shifted out on the home turn taking CRAZY MAIZY
wider.
SINGING SANDS hung out rounding the home turn.
Time off 2.35 PM.
RACE 4: CITY PACIFIC FIANANCE PLATE 3 YR-OLD MAIDEN 1690M.
Following a float incident SIR IRGUN underwent a veterinary examination and was declared fit to race.
STRONG ‘N’ BLACK jumped awkwardly.
DEBY DAME was slow away then shifted in striking the rail at the 600m.
ONE FOR THE ROAD was forced to race wide during the early stages of the race.
DOMINARI hung in during the middle stages of the race and had to be eased of the heels of ASKING at the 1300m.
Whilst overracing STRONG ‘N’ BLACK had to eased of PROXIMITY which also had steadied the pace, near the 1300m.

RACE 5: HAPPY 90th BIRTHDAY JIM ATKINS CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1690M.
LITTLE DIMPLE and SPECTAULAR PIC were both slow away.
MON MODE jumped awkwardly.
GOLDEN SPICE was force to race wide during the middle stages of the race.
LITTLE DIMPLE was held up rounding the home turn.
BUCK’S CHARM had to be eased of the heels of CYCLONIC WAYS at the 400m.
BROCKWAY which stopped quickly during running underwent a veterinary examination which found no abnormalities.
Time off 4.06 PM.
RACE 6: IPSWICH CUP DAY 17th JUNE PLATE CLASS 3 - 1350M.
KIND ACT was slow away.
KIND ACT whilst over-racing shifted out at 1100m hampering WILD AND WINSWEPT, then shifted in hampering YOUR LION EYES at the 1000m.
YOUR LION EYES raced ungenerously during the early and middle stages of the race dipping on at least three occasions.
KAKAMA was forced to race wide during the middle stages of the race.
HEAVENLY CRUISE and WILD AND WINDSWEPT were both inclined to hang out in the straight.

RACE 7: IPSWICH CITY COUNCIL CLASS 5 HANDICAP – 1100M
KNOW A LADY was slow away.
ADAM’S ANT jumped outward at the same time FAIRWEATHER jumped in hampering PUBLIC EYE.
CHIEF QUALO dipped at the 1000m
LITTLE BEAUTIFUL over-raced during the early and middle stages of the race.
ADAM’S ANT shifted out over the concluding stages hampering TRUE FLYER.
TRUE FLYER returned to scale lame in the near fore leg. Connections were advised that a veterinary certificate would be required prior to it next start.
