Race 1: DILLRAATZ F&M CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1200M
1st – Bolocco Miss 2nd – Fluggles 3rd – Une Rose 4th – Ali’s Gold Class

AMINUTEMORE (P. Schmidt), which made contact with the outside running rail whilst proceeding to the barriers, was examined by the club's veterinary surgeon and cleared to start.

LASS EE (K. Ashton) began awkwardly and shortly after the start BOLOCCO MISS (M. Cahill) shifted out making contact with FLUGGLES (L. Cassidy), which in turn shifted out inconveniencing LASS EE.

CERULEAN BLUE (M. O’Brien) raced wide in the early and middle stages.

Approaching the 900m LASS EE improved on to the heels of UNE ROSE (R. McMahon) and had to be checked. LASS EE then commenced to race ungenerously for some distance after.

Near the 400m UNE ROSE blundered, causing the rider’s right foot to slip out of the iron, resulting in the rider becoming unbalanced and placing him at a disadvantage for a short distance.

LASS EE shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.

Trainer R. Mackay was questioned regarding the racing manners of LASS EE in that the mare commenced to race ungenerously in the middle stages when being steadied. Mr Mackay was unable to offer any tangible explanation and was advised that a warning would be placed on the horse’s racing manners.

A post-race veterinary examination of BOLOCCO MISS revealed that the mare had been galloped on on the off hind cannon.

Race 2: OUR XMAS PARTY F&M MAIDEN H’CAP – 1350M
1st – Missonet 2nd – Annia Minor 3rd – Abbidan 4th – Friendly Music

AMOREENA (N. Evans) was slow to begin.

WELL COVERED (R. McMahon) began awkwardly.

MISS ASTANA (A. Spinks) began awkwardly and lost ground.

Shortly after the start ABBIDAN (Michael Palmer) was tightened for room between CANSHELOVE (J. Bowditch) and DIVINE SCENT (R. Wiggins) which shifted out.

CANSHELOVE, WELL COVERED and DIVINE SCENT all raced wide for the majority of the event.

Near the 1100m ANNIA MINOR (J. Byrne) threw its head in the air when being steadied.

Near the 200m WELL COVERED had to shift wider on the track to avoid the heels of MISS ASTANA, which shifted out.

When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of IGUAZU FALLS, jockey S. Galloway stated that in his opinion IGUAZU FALLS did not feel comfortable in its action and as a result he was reluctant to place the horse under pressure when IGUAZU FALLS commenced to compound and lose ground leaving the 200m. Whilst stewards noted S. Galloway’s explanation, he was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to advise stewards of any matters that may have had a bearing on the horse’s performance when returning to scale. Trainer T. Bailey’s stable representative, K. Loy, stated that after speaking to Mr Bailey following the event, connections were disappointed with the performance of IGUAZU FALLS and whilst unable to offer any explanation, gave an undertaking to advise stewards of the results of further tests they intended to carry out on the filly. A post-race veterinary examination of IGUAZU FALLS revealed no significant abnormalities.

Race 3: JUST ONE WINNER C,G&E MAIDEN H’CAP – 1350M
1st – Gold Budda 2nd – Fair Rise 3rd – Maywyninthespring 4th – Mr Light Blue

PLATINUM TOUCH was a late scratching at 12.22 p.m. by order of the stewards acting on veterinary advice that the gelding was lame in the off foreleg. Trainer T. Crane was advised that he must provide a veterinary clearance for PLATINUM TOUCH before the horse again trials or races.

Following a report by trainer W. Farrington that ABSOLOUIE had sustained a slight abrasion to the nearside knee in the float en route to the track, the gelding underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to race.

TAKE COVER (K. James) and CENT A SIGN (G. Geran) were both slow to begin.

Leaving the 1000m TAKE COVER shifted in, making contact with the running rail on two occasions when momentarily crowded by MIGHTY CLANG (K. Ashton), which shifted in slightly.

CAPPIN JACK (J. Kehoe) and COBALT BLUE (L. Cassidy) raced wide throughout.

Approaching the 800m ABSOLOUIE (M. Crawford) improved to the inside of the heels of FAIR RISE (J. Bowditch) where there was doubtful room and as a result clipped that runner’s heels and blundered.

Near the 400m MR LIGHT BLUE (J. Byrne) had to be momentarily steadied when racing in restricted room between and ZODIAC PRINCE (K. Forrester) and COBALT BLUE which shifted in to avoid the heels of the tiring CAPPIN JACK.

Rounding the home turn CLEAR DOMINANCE (M. Heagney) had to be steadied and shift out to avoid the heels of the tiring CAPPIN JACK. GUV’S LAD (B. Stewart), which was following, was also inconvenienced in this incident and shifted wider on the track.

ABSOLOUIE laid out rounding the home turn.

Race 4: THE STRADBROKE CREW CLASS 1 H’CAP – 800M
1st – Queen Thyra 2nd – Looked Sharp 3rd – Jam Tin 4th – Built Tough

Trainer B. Anderson was fined $100 under LR. 67 for failing to declare J. Bowditch as the rider of PRINCESS PAIGE by the prescribed time. Mr Anderson was also cautioned in relation to having an incorrect stable return regarding his registered colours.

SUPERTROOPER (J. Holder) began awkwardly and was further inconvenienced by BUILT TOUGH (W. Clasohm) which shifted in making contact with that runner.

JAM TIN (G. Geran) raced wide for the majority of the event.

Leaving the 500m KING DOD (J. Taylor) shifted in making contact with BUILT TOUGH.

Approaching the 400m BUILT TOUGH shifted out and inconvenienced KING DOD.

QUEEN THYRA (J. Byrne) had a tendency to hang out rounding the home turn.

Race 5: CITY OF IPSWICH QTIS 3YO MAIDEN H’CAP – 1200M
1st – Rackmeister 2nd – Hidden Babe 3rd – Commanding Lass 4th – Tail And All

Shortly after the start WORLD WE LIVE IN (J. Bowditch) and MONASHEE SUCCESS (S. Galloway) were tightened for room on jumping away between BLUE GINGER (J. Byrne), which shifted out, and MOUNT KOSCIUSZKO (J. Taylor), which shifted in.

ANOTHER TITAN (J. Wood) began awkwardly and lost ground.

POWER REPORT (K. Banks), which was fractious in the barriers, began awkwardly and lost ground.

Near the 1150m BILLY AUCASH (M. Hellyer) shifted out forcing BLUE GINGER out on to the hind quarters of WORLD WE LIVE IN. A short distance later BILLY AUCASH shifted out despite the efforts of its rider, forcing WORLD WE LIVE IN out on to MOUNT KOSCIUSZKO, which in turn shifted out making contact with FREDDY OR NOT (K. Fuji), which in turn shifted out inconveniencing CRASH BAM BOOM (K. Yoshida).

Leaving the 1100m both MOUNT KOSCIUSZKO and WORLD WE LIVE IN commenced to hang in, despite the efforts of their riders, crowding BILLY AUCASH for room, causing that runner to be steadied.

Near the 800m WORLD WE LIVE IN was tightened for room between MOUNT KOSCIUSZKO and BILLY AUCASH, which shifted out when commencing to overrace.

K. Fuji, the rider of FREDDY OR NOT, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR. 137(a) in that near the 150m he permitted his mount to shift out under hard riding when insufficiently clear of BILLY AUCASH, causing that runner to be checked. K. Fuji’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 meetings, with the term of suspension to commence at midnight on Saturday, 20 November, and expire at midnight on Wednesday, 1 December 2010.

G. Geran, the rider of RACKMEISTER, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under AR. 137(a) in that near the 150m he permitted his mount to shift in under hard riding when insufficiently clear of CRASH BAM BOOM (K. Yoshida), which had to be checked to avoid the heels of RACKMEISTER. G. Geran’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 8 meetings, with the term of suspension to commence at midnight on Saturday, 20 November, and expire following the ITC day meeting on Friday, 3 December 2010.

MONASHEE SUCCESS lost its near fore plate in running.

Race 6: TPI QLD CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1350M
1st – Koranovsky 2nd – Shedaboss 3rd – Ampho Power 4th – Ishi Classic

ZYMURGY (A. Kitson), which was slow to begin, shifted out making contact with the hind quarters of TICKLE ME QUICK (K. Ashton).

DEPUTATION (K. Fuji) began awkwardly.

ISHI CLASSIC (J. Byrne) overraced in the early stages.

INTERECHO (S. Seamer) raced wide for the majority of the event.

Race 7: CFL FINANCIAL PLANNING C,G&E CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1200M
1st – Tea Tattle 2nd – Colin’s Choice 3rd – Warchimes/Be Advised

As D. Craven was ill, P. Wolfgram was substituted as the rider of COLIN'S CHOICE.

FLYBEFREE (C. Gilby), which was fractious in the barriers, jumped in the air as the start was effected and lost ground.

WILLSEEYOU (R. McMahon) was slow to begin.

Leaving the 900m BE ADVISED (Michael Palmer) commenced to overrace and throw its head in the air for some distance.

COLIN'S CHOICE (P. Wolfgram), FLYBEFREE and SIGNIFICANT ACT (J. Holder) raced wide throughout.

BE ADVISED hung out under pressure rounding the home turn.

TEA TATTLE (J. Byrne) shifted out under pressure in the home straight.
