WEATHER - FINE TRACK - GOOD


GENERAL: As apprentice A. Ware was indisposed, she was replaced by apprentice C. Pay on JESSICA BLUE EYES in race 3.


RACE 1: GOLDEN SHORES RESIDENTIAL HOME PARK MAIDEN PLATE - 800M.

On the way to the barriers, FOREST AVENUE struck the rail. A veterinary examination of that gelding passed it fit to start.

SASSY DIVA refused to be loaded into the barriers and was declared a late scratching at 1.19 p.m.. All monies invested on that mare were ordered to be refunded and deductions of 8 cents on the face value of winning tickets, and 8 cents on the face value of place tickets were applicable. Trainer Ann-Maree Jeyne's was advised that SASSI DIVA would be rquired to pass a further barrier test.

RACE 2: GOLDEN SHORES HERVEY BAY CLASS B H'CAP - 800M.

Approaching the 600m., LATEEN was briefly tightened for room by HEIKI LASS, which was taken in by ROADIE RAN.

Rounding the 400m. turn, LATEEN had to be checked when tightened for room by HEIKI LASS, which shifted in and away from ROADIE RAN.


RACE 3: GOLDEN DOWNS QTIS CLASS 3 PLATE - 1060M.

OFFICE GOSSIP was slow to begin.

Approaching the 900m., ZOOBINI shifted in and made contact with the hind quarters of JEWELL OF THE RANCH, which became unbalanced and lost ground.

Near the 300m., ZOOBINI shifted in and made contact with JESSICA BLUE EYES and became unbalanced.


RACE 4: GOLDEN SHORES DREAMS COME TRUE CLASS 1 H'CAP - 1500M.

OUR CENTURIAN and LOUD BLUE were both slow to begin.

An inquiry was adjourned into the reason ARIANNE GAL (App. F. Sendon) struck the heels of TOO DARK and blundered, dislodging app. Senden near the 300m.. In this incident, DREAM OF YOU was also hampered. The inquiry was adjourned to a date to be fixed.

RACE 5: GOLDEN DOWNS/GOLDEN SHORES KILCOY CUP CLASS 6 PLATE - 1200M.

JUST KISTA and GRANDE ARROW jumped away awkwardly and lost ground..

BREBEAUDAN LAD hung out making the home turn.


RACE 6: GOLDEN DOWNS OVER 50'S MAIDEN PLATE - 1200M.

LE SAVAN was slow to begin.

CELESTIAL LYNDA and DANCERIN were tightened for room on jumping away between DANAMEG and RIVER NOTE, both of which shifted ground.
