GENERAL REPORT :- Due to a power surge during the running of the first race the photo finish malfunctioned and was not available for the rest of the meeting.
Race 1: Stockmans Supplies Maiden Plate Distance – 1000m
1st SHE WILL ROCK YOU 2 nd BENS HERITAGE 3rd -RAPID ILLUSION 4th-WHO DARES WIN
WHO DARES WINS was involved in a float mishap on the way to the track he was inspected by the vet & passed fit to start. LA JUNIPER was slow into stride at the start. On returning to scale WHO DARES WINS suffered a bleeding attack and this was confirmed by the clubs veterinary surgeon and is subsequently barred from racing for 3 months acting under rule AR53A.

GRAINGER (D Crossland) was inclined to hang in from the 600m mark

1st A KNOWN FACT 2nd SIRCAY 3rd STAGE CRUSSER 4th CAPTAIN PHILLIP
At approximately the 350m mark STAGE CRUSHER (App) C McCallum shifted in onto SIRCAY (M Dale) resulting in jockey (M Dale) having to check his mount and lose his position in the field. (App) McCallum was given the benefit of the doubt and stewards issued a severe reprimand.
At approx the 200m mark BACKA (I Toward) struck the inside rail resulting in jockey Towards foot receiving bruising. No medical attention was required

When leaving the straight the first time VISCAY STAR (App) C McCallum slightly inconvenienced BOLT ACTION jockey D Crossland.
At 1pm Trainer N Schofield advised stewards that EDGEWANA had injured itself in a float mishap. The horse was then examined by the clubs veterinary surgeon and notified the stewards that the horse was not fit to start. Stewards then declared EDGEWANA a late scratching. Trainer N Schofield was notified that EDGEWANA would require a veterinary certificate prior to its next start.
