RACE 1 CLASS 6 HANDICAP 1250 METRES 5 STARTERS
On straightening STRONG EMOTION which was hanging in, shifted in and bumped WHEELAWAY. STRONG EMOTION again brushed WHEELAWAY at the 250 metres and continued to hang in over the concluding stages, and as a consequence Jockey D Lloyd was obliged to stop riding with the whip and straighten his mount over the final 200 metres.

RACE 2 CLASS 4 HANDICAP 1050 METRES 5 STARTERS
R Pujolas replaced Jockey C Schumacher on BATTLE RIVER when Jockey Schumacher could not make the weight. After receiving and explanation from Jockey Schumacher the Stewards accepted the same, and took no further action. No racing Incidents.

RACE 3 CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1050 METRES 10 STARTERS
SIR NILE commenced to over race in the middle stages of the event. MYSTICAL shifted in at the 200 metres when placed under pressure, hampering SIR NILE and CHAMACO. Jockey R Mules (MYSTICAL) was advised to exercise care and make a greater effort to keep his mount straight. On returning to scale, SIR NILE was found to have bled from both nostrils and was stood down from racing for the mandatory 3 month period (AR 53 A.)

RACE 4 OPEN HANDICAP 1500 METRES 6 STARTERS
BENNIE’S LANE jumped awkwardly. GOLDEN TIP was inspected by the Club Veterinary Surgeon post race and was found to have pulled up lame in the off fore leg.

RACE 5 MAIDEN HANDICAP 1500 METRES 7 STARTERS
ON HIS OWN and STEEL SANCTION jumped awkwardly


RACE 6 CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1500 METRES 7 STARTERS
BACK TO COURT was slow to begin. At the 200 metres BRETNIC shifted in and made heavy contact with MISTY EYED resulting in MISTY EYED becoming unbalanced. ADAMMUP, which finished 4th in the event was sent to be swabbed.

All winners were sent to be swabbed.
