SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS
As Rick Barone and Mark Dale were to be overweight, stewards permitted them to ride .5kg over the allotted weight as there were no suitable riders available. Race 1 TODMAN POWER and SAM THE EAGLE, and Race 2 MIGHTY STRONGHOLD. Rick Barone and Mark Dale were each fined the sum of $100 under the terms of AR120(b).
Trainer Drew Crouch representative Ms L Francey was advised that D Crouch Trainer of COVER IT UP was fined the sum of $100 under the terms AR59A for failing to produce documents of description for that horse.
Race 4 Stewards permitted M Dale to ride LARRIKIN LANCE 1.5 kg over the allotted weight as there was no other suitable rider available.
Race 1: The Daily Mercury Class 1 H'cap - 1500m.
1st – Cover It Up 2nd – Ipi Tombi 3rd - Toulitoots 4th – Sit ‘N’ Think
TODMAN POWER was slow into stride.
TOULITOOTS tendered to over race getting it’s head up in the air in the middle stages of the event.
App B Young took a harmful tumble off IPI TOMBI on returning to scale, ambulance officer examined him and past him fit to continue riding.
COVER IT UP returned to the enclosure lame in the offside front .Trainer D Crouch representative Ms L Francey was advised that COVER IT UP would be required to have a vet certificate prior to next start.
Race 2: Win Television Open H'cap - 1500m.
1st – Mot D’Or 2nd – Pimpala Player 3rd – Mighty Stronghold 4th – Sabre Sonic
MOT D’OR tendered to over race in the middle stages of the event.
MIGHTY STRONGHOLD when placed under pressure over the concluding stages shifted out making minor contact with SABRE SONIC.
Race 3: Coca-Cola Class 3 Plate - 1050m.
1st – Explosive Gal 2nd – From The Top 3rd – Premier Resort 4th – No Tricks
PREMIER RESORT was fractious in the day stall and got down under the railings. The gelding was vetted and cleared to start.
PREMIER RESORT jumped out at the start making contact with NO TRICKS.
Race 4: Mackay Region Area Consultative Committee Class 5 H'cap - 1250m.
1st - Portal 2nd – High Ranger 3rd – End Song (NZ) 4th - Amberace
Jockey M Dale was questioned by stewards as to why LARRIKIN LANCE took no part in the race, he stated that the horse slipped at the start and again 20m after the start and did not respond, despite the riders efforts. Explanation was noted.
App B Young the rider of END SONG(NZ) accidently dropped his whip at the 200m.
Race 5: Robert Peel Jewellers Maiden Plate - 1250m.
1st – Mersey Beat 2nd – Lion Kingdom 3rd - Shackles 4th – Camp David
Jockey G Michaels was treated by the ambulance officer for an asmtha attack and was cleared to ride.
LION KINGDOM was slow into stride.
STONESTEPPINGKEV had to be steadied at the 800m to avoid the heels of ATAGULL, which shifted in marginally.
App B Young the rider of ATAGULL accidently dropped his whip at the 250m.
