SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT: Moranbah, 10th November 2012:

Race 3: Ray Newman Earthmoving QTIS Maiden Plate, 1170 metres

Jockey M. Usher was fined $500 under A.R. 143 for returning to scale light on BIG YIN.

Race 1: Samuel Smith & Sons Class 3 Plate - 1100 metres
1st OUR BOY MALACHI 2nd CHANCERY CODE 3rd SWITMOA 4th - CLEAR CONSCIENCE

SWITMOA (D. Simmons) began awkwardly.

PACQUIAO (D. Missen) bled from both nostrils during running. As this was the second occasion on which the gelding had bled, PACQUIAO was barred from racing for life under A.R. 53A(5).

Race 2: NE Food Class 6 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st DIAMONDCOWBOY 2nd DUMUZI 3rd MAECENUS 4th - DUX BELLORUM

Trainer A. Cameron informed stewards that he would be instructing Jockey A. Dykes to refrain from using the whip on DUX BELLORUM unless it was absolutely necessary. Public announcements were made to that effect and the gelding was ridden accordingly.

Trainer M. Barnham was fined $100 under L.R. 70 for failing to declare Jockey D. Evans as the rider for DUMUZI by the prescribed time.

Race 3: Dig It Landscaping QTIS 2-y-o Maiden Handicap - 800 metres
1st – CRAIGLEA DUCATI 2nd CURLEW 3rd CAUGHT SWITCHING 4th - CRAIGLEA CELICA

CRAIGLEA RAMBO (D. Missen) was slow into stride.

CURLEW (C. McIver) began awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with THE ALAMO (App. A. Kitson).

CAUGHT SWITCHING (S. Sheargold) raced wide throughout.

Race 4: Brown & Bird Class 2 Handicap - 1560 metres
1st BEAUX STRATA 2nd JOY'S SPIRIT 3rd ROCK MODE 4th – NO IMAGINATION

JOY'S SPIRIT (A. Dykes) and ROCK LIKE CRAZY (D. Missen) bumped at the start.

Jockey D. Missen reported that ROCK LIKE CRAZY became awkward in its stride at approximately the 1300 metres and dipped on two occasions, which prompted him to retire the gelding from the event. Trainer C. Smith agreed with Jockey Missen's assessment of the incident. A post-race veterinary examination of ROCK LIKE CRAZY revealed that the gelding was mildly lame in the near foreleg. Stewards advised trainer C. Smith that ROCK LIKE CRAZY must perform to the satisfaction of the stewards in a trial over at least 800 metres and that Mr Smith must furnish a veterinary clearance prior to the gelding trialling and undergo a further veterinary examination following the trial.

Jockey C. McIver pleaded guilty to a charge under A.R. 137A(5)(ii) in that he used his whip on FEROCITY BLUE on more than 5 occasions, namely 7 occasions) prior to the 100 metres. Jockey McIver was fined $100.

Race 5: The Reef Properties Maiden Plate - 1100 metres
1st REEDAN 2nd BRASHERE 3rd EXPLOSIVE STAR/HIDDEN BURST (dh) -

COOL CALL (App. A. Kitson) and WAY TOO PRICE CI (D. Simmons) were slow to begin.

EXPLOSIVE STAR (D. Missen) began awkwardly and lost ground.

At the 500 metres BRASHERE (A. Coome) commenced to over-race and had to be eased to avoid the heels of ROAD TO MALTA, then when placed under pressure at the 200 metres and again at the 100 metres was inclined to shift out.

Race 6: Stemsafe Class 1 Handicap - 1100 metres
1st BAGGER BONES 2nd HEROIC ACTION 3rd ZANATUS 4th - CHICAMONI

Trainer D. Micaleff was fined $100 under L.R. 70 for the late declaration of Jockey J. Babarovich as the rider for RUSHATUS.

A pre-race veterinary examination of BJORN WARRIOR (D. Evans) did not reveal any abnormalities and the gelding was cleared to take its place in the field.

ROCKET ON POP (A. Dykes) was slow to begin.

On straightening for home ZANATUS (D. Missen) was inclined to hang in behind CHICAMONI (A. Coome), which raced wide throughout the event.

App. A. Butler reported that YOU'LL HAVE TO felt lame during the event. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the gelding was lame in the fore knee. Trainer L. Wright was advised that he must provide a veterinary clearance prior to YOU'LL HAVE TO being permitted to race again.

Jockey S. Sheargold was reprimanded for his use of the whip on BAGGER BONES prior to the 100 metres.
