Race 1: Telstra Business Centre Mackay Class 1 Handicap - 800 metres - 1200 metres
1st ISA TALA 2nd MOONLIGHT CAFÉ 3rd MAHOGANY MISS 4th - ELAY PRINCESS

BROTHER BOB (K. Aho) and TAZLINA (T. O'Hara) were slow to begin.

At the 600 metres VATICAN'S STAR (C. Whiteley) and ELAY PRINCESS (B. El'Issa) were tightened for room between DANGEROUS EDITION (App. J. Orman), which stepped in slightly, and MAHOGANY MISS (T. Bannon), which hung out despite the efforts of its rider. As a result VATICAN'S STAR lost ground. Trainer J. Manzelmann was advised that a warning will be placed on the racing manners of MAHOGANY MISS.

MOONLIGHT CAFE (App. E. Ljung) lost its off fore plate in running.

Race 2: TFH Hire Services Maiden Handicap - 1300 metres
1st CUBA LIBRE 2nd ROCKET BILLY REBEL 3rd SNIP PINS LASS 4th - GRIZZLE

The start was delayed when the tongue-tie on VIRGINIA FALLS (App. A. Allen) had to be adjusted.

PURE WIDOW (A. Dykes), SEA CREST (D. Hayse) and NAGINI (D. Simmons) began awkwardly.

DUBAI ME A STAR (C. Whiteley) was slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare revealed that DUBAI ME A STAR was lame in the off foreleg. Trainer J. Manzelmann was advised that he must furnish a veterinary clearance prior to the mare being permitted to race again.

Jockey M. Usher was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under A.R. 137(a) in that leaving the 400 metres he permitted WELL HELLO DOLLY to shift out when insufficiently clear of SEA CREST (D. Hayse), which was tightened for room and lost its rightful running. At the same time SNIP PINS LASS (B. El'Issa), which was racing to the outside of ROCKET BILLY REBEL (B Stewart), raced ungenerously and crowded the running of ROCKET BILLY REBEL. Jockey Usher was suspended from riding in races for a period covering 3 meetings, to commence from midnight on 21st November 2013 up to and including midnight on 28th November 2013.

Stewards will speak with Trainer C. Thompson in regard to the disappointing performance of IF ONLY THEY KNEW (T. O'Hara).

VIRGINIA FALLS (App. A. Allen) and RUTHIE'S DREAM (J. P. Stanley) raced wide throughout.

ROCKET BILLY REBEL was inclined to shift about in the straight under pressure.

Race 3: AJK Contracting QTIS 3-Y-O Handicap - 1050 metres
1st CRAIGLEA FIESTA 2nd CRAIGLEA DUCATI 3rd TYCOON ANNIE 4th - SEVEN SAGAS

The start was delayed when CRAIGLEA DUCATI (A. Coome) had to be re-saddled behind the barriers.

As the gates opened, LA MINA (B. El'Issa) reared, backed out of the barrier stalls, dislodged its rider and took no competitive part in the event. Following the race, after viewing the official video films in the company of trainer G.Taylor and Jockey El'Issa, stewards acting under A.R. 134A found that LA MINA had not been denied a fair start and accordingly was declared a starter. Mr Taylor was advised that he must provide a barrier certificate for LA MINA prior to its next race start. Jockey El'Issa was examined by the Ambulance Officers and cleared to fulfil his further engagements.

As the start was effected MARK ME OLEE (App. E. Ljung) shifted out and bumped DORSAL FIN (T. O'Hara).

CRAIGLEA EVITA (App. S. Fawke) raced wide throughout.

Race 4: L.J. Hooker Mackay Class 3 Handicap - 1050 metres
1st HEZOFF 2nd DRUMKIT 3rd SOLIDIFY 4th - SUITE ANNIE

The start was delayed when TALCUM (J. P. Stanley) had to be re-saddled behind the barriers. The start was further delayed when SOLIDIFY (I. Toward) had to have an adjustment made to its gear.

Following the race Jockey D. Simmons reported that HELP ME RHONDA slipped behind at the start and consequently was slow to begin.

Jockey B. El'Issa pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under A.R. 137(a) in that shortly after the start he permitted HEZOFF to shift in when insufficiently clear of EXCAPISHE (App. S. Fawke), which was tightened for room and lost its rightful running. Jockey El'Issa was suspended from riding in races for a period covering 7 meetings, to commence at midnight on 30th November 2013, up to and including midnight on 8th December 2013.

BJORN (App. J. Orman) was tightened for room at the start and then was slow to begin and raced wide throughout.

At approximately the 700 metres SOLIDIFY dipped.

Race 5: Brown & Bird BenchMark 70 Handicap - 1300 metres
1st HEROIC ACTION 2nd FIVE O'CLOCK 3rd ANDTHEBANDPLAYED ON 4th - OSCARMANIA

The start was delayed when KANSKJE (D. Hayse) broke through the barriers, was quickly restrained and returned behind the barriers where it was examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field.

As the start was effected ARIADNE blundered and dislodged Jockey J. P. Stanley. BAZINSKY (I. Toward), which had been slow to begin, was further hampered when it made contact with the fallen J. P. Stanley. Jockey Stanley was unable to fulfil his remaining engagements and was transported to hospital for observation. Jockey Stanley was advised that he must furnish a medical clearance prior to being permitted to ride again.

FIVE O'CLOCK (B. El-Issa) was slow to begin,

In the early stages OSCARMANIA (App. K. Aho) raced wide.

At approximately the 150 metres the saddle on FIVE O'CLOCK shifted, placing Jockey El'Issa at a disadvantage and was unable to fully test his mount over the concluding stages. In the incident FIVE O'CLOCK shifted in, resulting in COCO LOCO (App. A Allen) being held up over the latter stages and in App. A. Allen being unable to fully test his mount.

Race 6: Hillross Mackay BenchMark 60 Handicap - 1560 metres
1st DODGE THE GREY 2nd ROFRANOZ 3rd AMONUTE 4th - BARELY AN ANGEL

BARELY AN ANGEL (D. Hayse) was slow to begin.

At the start ROFRANOZ (App. S. Fawke) was momentarily tightened for room when RIDE LIKE THE WIND (A. Dykes) shifted in slightly.

In the early stages OPRAH (M. Usher) over-raced.

In the early and middle stages ROFRANOZ (App. S. Fawke) raced wide.

In the middle stages PROUD WARRIOR (B. El'Issa) over-raced.

JOPH LA HAE (App. K. Aho) raced wide for the majority of the event.

Jockey B. El'Issa was reprimanded under A.R. 137A(5)(i) for using his whip on PROUD WARRIOR in a forehand manner in consecutive strides.

Race 7: Elite Plastic Fabrications Class 2 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st FORTZA 2nd BROCHETTE 3rd BOLD DICTATOR 4th - STORMWOOD

Due to a misunderstanding Jockey L. Dillon was shown as the rider for STORMWOOD. Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by trainer C. Thompson for the error, and Jockey D. Hayse was substituted as the rider of STORMWOOD.

When Jockey J. P. Stanley was unable to fulfil his engagement for LATIN KING after being dislodged from ARIADNE in Race 5, Jockey A. Dykes was substituted. Jockey Stanley was advised that he must provide a medical clearance prior to being permitted to ride again.

Immediately prior to the start being effected DICHOTOMY (App. S. Cooke) reared, dislodging App. S. Cooke. The mare was examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field. A post-race veterinary examination of DICHOTOMY did not reveal any abnormalities.

LATIN KING (A. Dykes) began awkwardly.

In the early and middle stages KING MAGNUSSON (App. K. Aho) raced wide.

At about the 250 metres BROCHETTE (T. Bannon) was disappointed for a run to the outside of KING MAGNUSSON.

DICHOTOMY raced wide for the majority of the event.

Jockey A. Coome reported to stewards that upon returning to scale BOSS HUSSLER felt awkward in its action. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormalities. Stewards will follow up the horse's disappoint performance with trainer trainer L. Wright.
