Williams, the rider of FUNDIDO, and also waving his whip in the direction of App. Williams in a threatening manner. Jockey Butler was fined $500. In assessing penalty stewards took into account Apprentice Butler’s guilty plea, his remorsefulness and his good record in this regard.

Inclined to lay in over the concluding stages.

SHEPIKTUS – Near the 900 metres shifted out to avoid heels and in doing so took another runner wider on the track.
Race 5: NE Foods Handicap - 1050 metres
1st FUNDIDO 2nd - STARLISTIC 3rd SHORT TRIP 4th - PRINCE MONASHEE
The declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow Jockey D. Simmons, the rider of STARLISTIC and Jockey A. Coome, the rider of PRINCE MONASHEE, which finished 4th, to view the official video films to determine whether they should lodge an objection against FUNDIDO (App. T. Williams) being declared 1st. Having done so, Jockey Simmons elected not to lodge an objection. Stewards then considered an objection lodged by Jockey Coome against FUNDIDO (App. T. Williams) being declared 1st, alleging interference near the 650 metres. After taking evidence from the parties involved, viewing the official video films and acting on their own observations, stewards found that near the 650 metres PRINCE MONASHEE was severely checked and lost its rightful running when FUNDIDO shifted in. However. stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that, given the margin of 2.5 lengths between the 2 runners at the finish and the manner in which they finished off the race, PRINCE MONASHEE would have finished ahead of FUNDIDO. Accordingly, the protest was dismissed and correct weight was declared on the judge’s numbers.
At a subsequent inquiry App. T. Williams, in the presence of trainer J. Manzelmann, deputising as Master, pleaded not guilty to a charge of careless riding under A.R. 137(a) in that near the 650 metres she allowed her mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of PRINCE MONASHEE, which had to be checked and lost its rightful running. LEXCEN and STARLISTIC, which were following, were hampered as a consequence. After taking further evidence from the parties involved and again viewing the official video films, stewards found App. Williams guilty of the charge. Her licence to ride in races was suspended for a period covering 2 meetings to commence at midnight on 4th December 2014, up to and including midnight on Sunday 7th December 2014.
LEXCEN - A post race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed it to be sore in both front limbs. Trainer M Dale was advised that a Veterinary certificate will be required prior the gelding’s next start.
PRINCE MONASHEE – A post race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed superficial lacerations the near hind limb.

1st PRETTY VACANT 2nd WHISPER WILLOW 3rd MOONLIGHT MAGIC 4th – VIKING GOOD THING
The declaration of correct weight was delayed when Jockey A. Coome made an application under A.R. 134A to have EXCELLENT STYLE declared a non-runner as it was being held by an attendant and denied a fair start. After taking evidence from Jockey Coome and viewing the available films, stewards found that EXCELLENT STYLE had been fractious in the barriers, had been assisted by an attendant and reared as the start was effected. Accordingly the application was denied and the mare was declared a starter. Correct weight was declared on the judge’s numbers. Trainer J. Manzelmann was advised that he must provide a barrier certificate for EXCELLENT STYLE before the mare will be permitted to race again.
JOPH LA HAE – Began awkwardly with its head up and lost ground.
VIKING GOOD THING – Over-raced in the early stages.
