RACE 1: CLASS 4 HANDICAP – 1500 Metres – 8 Starters

Due to a malfunction of the Photo Finish equipment, this race and all subsequent races were judged without photo finish equipment. Permission was obtained from the Queensland Racing.
No incidents in racing.

RACE 2: CLASS A HANDICAP – 1017 Metres – 7 Starters

CAPE ROCKETS (I Toward) jumped in when the gates opened onto LAWREY’S BELLOTTO (E Kowald. R Bellett replaced R Ryan, as rider of MOVE EASY, as the declared rider was overweight. No action was taken against Jockey R Ryandue to extenuating circumstances.

RACE 3: MAIDEN PLATE – 1123 Metres – 10 Starters

A general tightening of the field occurred shortly after the start. HIGHLEIGH ROAD (L Buckingham) lost ground. In the closing stages of the race LION PRINCESS (d Crossland) moved in under pressure.

RACE 4: CLASS 6 HANDICAP – 1210 Metres – 4 Starters

No Incidents

RACE 5: WEIGHT FOR AGE – 1210 Metres – 4 Starters

By mutual consent of the trainer and jockey, R Bellett replaced Ed Kowald as the rider of CRAFTY LAD.
