Race 1: GRAHAM HOTEL CLASS 3 PLATE Distance – 1010 Metres

1st - YOUNG AUREOLE 2nd – FLIPPER VARGEN 3rd STALKING SHADOWS 4th STATUM

STALKING SHADOWS reared and missed the start by 2 lengths. Jockey David Crossland notified the Stewards on returning to scale, and it was verified by the Stewards patrol film.

Race 2: L M ENGINEERING MAIDEN PLATE Distance -.1123 Metres

1st - LORD RAMSOM 2nd – LADY LATAR 3rd – MIKEY’S MAIZCAY 4th – BLOWUP DOLL

ROYAL DICTATOR (Ms D Armstrong) jumped from the Barriers with its head in the air and raced greenly throughout and at the 800 metre mark the bit went through the horses mouth. Jockey Armstrong verified this when asked by the Stewards

Race 3: T G T RURAL SUPPLIES QTIS CLASS 4 HANDICAP – 1123 Metres

1st – MANITO 2nd – GIVE AND TELL 3rd – SPY’S ECLIPSE
4th – RAT PACK

GIVE AND TELL returned to the enclosure with abrasions to its forehead.


Race 4: QRSE MINCE AND MEATS CLASS B HANDICAP – 1210 Metres

1st - LIGHTS 2nd – YAKKA YAKKA 3rd – NATHAN’S COMMAND
4th – STRICTLY RHYTHM

Jockey Michael Cullen, rider of STRICTLY RHYTHM was cautioned to keep his mount straight at all times when it shifted in onto MOVE EASY in the straight.
Race 5: MAREEBA RSL SERVICES CLUB WFA. Distance –1210 Metres

1st – STRICTLY SMART 2nd – PHIN DE VIE 3rd – LITTLE WOLF 4th – CARBON GOLD

Over the concluding stages of the race STRICTLY SMART shifted ground

Race 6: - TAFFY’S BACKHOE HIRE CLASS 6 PLATE -.1210 Metres

1st - SPY’S ECLIPSE 2nd - STAR WHISTLER 3rd - BARON LAD 4th- ARCHDUKE

After the start ARCH DUKE (D Dean) moved out and STAR WHISTLER (D Crossland) moved in and inconvenienced BARON LAD (L Buckingham). No action was taken.

SPY’S ECLIPSE who started in race 3, was examined by the Vet prior to the start and passed fit to start again in race 6.
