As Jockey F. Edwards advised he was not riding at the meeting due to illness, riding changes were made as per the race day summary. Jockey Edwards was directed to supply a medical certificate of fitness prior to his next riding engagements.

PRIME BELL (S. Kaya) raced wide throughout the race
On returning to the saddling enclosure, Jockey I Toward reported to the stewards that his horse appeared to be lame. A post race veterinary inspection of VOIRE revealed no abnormalities.
Stage Crusher (Jeffrey Felix) reared as the start was effected.
Race 2: Landmark Class 4 Handicap Distance – 1123 metres

Race 3: Queensland Country Racing Reef ‘N’ Rainforest Maiden Plate Distance – 1010 metres

The start of this race was delayed for fifteen minutes due to the ambulance having to transport Trainer Janel Ryan to Mareeba hospital after an incident in the saddling stalls.
BUDWICK (S Kaya) jumped in at the start inconveniencing POSITIVE THINKING (D Crossland).
HARTACTTOFOLLOW (D Philpot) hung out from approximately the 700 metres to the winning post.
GIRLS LIKE PURPLE (G Kliese) & PIECES OF BLUE (App. T. Fujinuma) were slow into stride.
Race 4: Mareeba Turf Club Consolation Maiden Plate Distance -1010 metres
1st - Be Lucky 2nd – My Bella Nera 3rd –Goal Attack 4th-Amatama
BE LUCKY (J. Felix) had to be eased from the heels of GOALATTACK (G. Kliese) at approximately the 250 metres.
On returning to scale, Jockeys K. Rockett & S Kaya took seemingly harmless falls from their mounts.

THE LOUT (G. Kliese) jumped out at the start onto HYPATICA.
Jockey Kliese reported to stewards that his horse shied away from the starter
The starter was advised by stewards of the incident & requested he move his stand back further from the running rail.
