Dragon Ace ridden by Braydn Swaffer was a late scratching at 1:12 pm due to dislodging its jockey on the way to the barriers. “Dragon Ace” was a late scratching at 1:12 pm bookmakers were told to draw a line and deductions of 9 cents in the win and10 cents in the place were announced after the running of the race and correct weight was given. Stewards informed trainer Mr Glen Porter that the horse was barred from racing & must trial to the satisfaction of stewards before it races again.
LIVING ON DREAMS (Jeffrey Felix) wanted to hang out from the 600mtrs.
VENCEREMOS (Kirk Stone) was slow to begin.
After the running of the first race the track was upgraded to a good 2.
Jockey Kirk Stone was the replacement rider on Venceremos due to the absence of Michael Cullen
Race 2: RADIO 4AM-KIK FM CLASS B HANDICAP 900MTRS
1st Air Of Heaven- 2nd –Family Freeze 3rd –Pudzianowski 4th –Oakfield Hero
Prior to the start LILLABELLE (Jeffrey Felix) lunged at the barrier gate and caused the release of gates 2 & 3 which resulted in the release of THE BIG SALAD (Kirk Stone) & PUDZIANOWSKI (Bradyn Swaffer) all three horses were vet checked and passed fit to race.
AIR OF HEAVEN (Frank Edwards) & PUDZIANOWSKI (Braydn Swaffer) were marginally slow to begin.
ZIP ‘N’ ZIZZ (Nor Yadi) travelled wide rounding the home corner.
Race 3: TRAVELEXPERIENCE.COM CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1210 MTRS
1st –Army Of One 2nd -Slipnot 3rd -Manalute 4th – Will He Fly
After the running of the race stewards viewed the film of the race and declared CLIFFORD JOHN (Jeffrey Felix) a non - runner as he reared high in the barriers and as the start was effected had its head over the next partition & took no part in the event. Stewards ordered all monies were to be refunded on Clifford John and a deduction of 3 cents in the win and 3 cents in the place were to apply. Stewards spoke to trainer Graham Purdy regarding CLIFFORD JOHN’S barrier manners & advised him that the horse must trial before stewards before it can start again.
OVERANGA (Shane Pawsey) reared in the barriers before the start as did Manalute Sonja Wiseman.
LITTLE MISS EVA (Kirk Stone) & MANALUTE (Sonja Wiseman) both made the home corner wide.
Sonja Wiseman was the replacement rider on MANALUTE for jockey Michael Cullen as there were no other senior riders available.
Race 4: LM ENGINEERING BENCHMARK70 HANDICAP 1500 MTRS
1st –Midnite Raid 2nd –Will Impress 3rd – Lil’ Red Monkey 4th –Discarded Bullet
MIDNIGHT RAID (Shane Pawsey) travelled wide rounding the home corner.
